Hi everyone,
I'm back from my week of band camp. It was so much fun. I got sunburned tho on my shoulder..it hurts. And i shampooed my hair like 4 times cuz my hair stinks from my sweat and from band camp..i took a shower last night and took a shower again this morning and i still stink..yuckk. I'm still tired from band camp. We got up at 6AM every morning to go to breakfast and we go to our sections (saxphone, flute, tuba, percussion, etc) for our early morning strech routine. As the pit member, we had to unload, load, move around the percussion stuff. But damn, they were so heavy my legs were starting to feel weak. And my arms were becoming sore. But i managed to get over it. But it was a fun week. on thursday evening when we had dinner. All of us freshmans had to serve the seniors because it was seniors night. And we had to sing a song for them. it goes: "Oh seniors we love you, Oh seniors we'll be true, When you're not with us, we'll be blue, oh seniors WE LOVE YOUUUUUU!!!!" We had to sing that twice for them. Then we had to serve on what speific food they wanted. And this senior guy needed something so i went up to him and another guy i know came up with me too. And do you know those confetti decorations for the tables?? Well... The senior dude was like: "hey you two, I want you to put these confetti on your forehead." And we did that. It was pathetic. But fun. We had a bedtime around 11:20ish. We get up at 6AM. And we're out in the sun all day for 4 hours until lunch and then we go outside again for another 4 hours until dinner, then we go outside again for another 4 hours until bedtime. We go back inside for the night around 9ish. But as the pit, we had to stay outside last because we had to load up all the vibes, miramba, and all the stuff that we used as the pit BACK inside the truck. and we'd unload them again in the morning. So we had a limited time to take a shower. Which was an hour and a half. that sucked because there was a long line in the girl's showers. And the gross thign was some girls went into the shower naked but don't worry, they had a towel to cover. And some girls took a shower with their bathing suits on because there was guys on the same floor but across the hall. We had a girl floor and a guy floor. and the rules were you had to wear something to take a shower, aka the bathing suit cuz of the guys might come in the hall to hang out a little bit b4 we had to go to bed. ohhh boy..i'm stilll half-asleep.. i hope the stank will goaway. |

lamo, at least you didn't have to sweat.. we were outside in the sun all day for the past week in band camp. and it was like 90 some degrees outside. it was verryy cool in the morning which i thank god for that because in my section of the marching band we had to ran for 15 minutes. so at least when i get hot in the morning after jogging, the cool breeze will cool me down lol

lol i'm not offended! i never seen american pie actually. my parents wouldn't let me anyways lol. so i don't mind. I have band camp again tomorrow, and we're going to clean out the percussion room in the high school. Its such a biggggggggggggggg mess. we have like random crap on the floor. and we have to clean up our mirambas and vibes. and the battery (the drumline aka, the bass, snare, quad snares and cymbals) has to tune up their drums. and we have to inspect all the mallets to make sure that they're good to use. i got enough sleep. i slept in till 12:30 (lunchtime) lol.

Wow, you are a very busy girl and having lots of fun at the band camp and going for number 2 band camp tomorrow. That is a lot better than staying home and just idling away with nothing to do. This is the way to have young people find things to do for the summer before school start like on August 20. If this is the music you love which a lot of deafies could not relate to music because of our hearing disabilities, then go for it and just have fun doing both in band camps and in high school. I am very proud of you for doing this. Way to Go, Girl!!!!!
