Scrapbooking

Hello!

Does any of you do scrapbooking? I want to scan all of my photos. I have organized them, but I want to scan them into CDs.

Walgreens had something like this, but I never bothered because I didn't know how to trust them with my photos and have no back-up, you know? I went to their website, but I don't see anything about this.

I went online and I saw this company that you send them your pictures in a box. Isn't that a bit odd because there is no back-up to keep?

It is a slow process to scan them one by one on my computer.

I do scrapbook sometime when I have free time. I know about CD scan. Do you have a CD burn from your PC?? You can go to scrapbook store. They have a computer with CD burn. Do you like to make a scrapbook for your pictures?? Do you have a scrapbook CD program? Or you can go to FedEx Kinko's copies.

You would actually hire someone to do your scrapbook? Isn't it kind of personal?

Lake Tahoe, same here. I need to work on it. I was so busy on wedding and making jewelry. I want to go back to work on scrapbook for my free time. I am tired of many pictures and clutter! I like the organize in CD and neat scrapbook albums.

Who did you hire to burn your pictures into a CD? I want to know where's the best place to go for that.

I think the best way to do scrapbooking is to keep it as simple as you can. Maybe buy them already pre-made with some stuff on them that you can add a few things. Maybe keep it simple. I think the amount of things we can do can overwhelm us.

Organization IS important to keep track of pictures.

I hired a friend. I could have done it easily but I knew she needed the money but wouldn't accept me just giving it to her (big pride thing) - so I kind of made up an excuse for her to burn pictures for me so I could pay her. She did a great job.

My biggest rule with scrapbooking is ALWAYS make sure you have a copy of the picture you're using in case you mess up.

I agree- simple is nice and appeals to the eye. I like for my pages to blend and/or coordinate with one another. I found that the tackle fishing boxes work better for organizing embellishments and scrapbooking tools than those overpriced scrapbooking boxes.

Thanks. I don't know if I would scan it myself. It's too slow. I guess I'll keep looking for a service.

Yeah, it's expensive to buy scrapbooking specialized storing boxes. Sometimes there are sales on scrapbooking items, so those are good times to find scrapbooking stuff.
