Yes, I remember you were excited for go to Hawaii then few months later other company took Deafcruise company over and change the prices... that's why they demand their refund. I remember Deafcruise said that they have right to have their refund... I thought everything goes smooth with no complication until this thread here... I am total speechless... Yes, you should do something as soon as possible.

I feel really bad for you all... I'm truly sorry...

for create a thread to let us know...

Jclarke is correct.

It's a long story Byrdie, will try to explain a bit .

The agreement was, we were to go on "Pride of Aloha" cruise in Hawaii of July, 2009, then NCL cancelled the contract by using a different cruise line "Pride of America" the prices increased unexpectedely.. Deaf Cruise found out and did not read his contract carefully, which states that the contract can be void anytime. Many passengers were transferred to "Pride of America" without paying more, but those of us who went through Deaf Cruise had to pay a lot more. Deaf Cruise made a mistake on his contract to NCL. Several of us could no longer afford to go on this cruise and decided to drop out by getting our refunds back.

Why NCL yanks another cruise line

No one took over Deaf Cruise. Deaf Cruise goes through NCL because NCL America is the only cruise line that can offer us inter-island Hawaii cruises.

Deaf Cruise send me a 2008-2009 Hawaii Cruising booklet, that's how I knew about NCL America.

Yep that's exactly what happened. We were so excite to go on this trip, until Norwegian Cruise Line has announced (NCL) that the Pride of Aloha was withdrawn. It was a completely disaster. We were upset with NCL and Deafcruise. I did got my refund back though.

I would also like to encourage anyone that had trouble with DeafCruise to file a complaint with the Arizona Attorney General's Office. The online complaint from link is below.

Arizona Attorney General Terry Goddard

Please do not feel embarrassed or that any amount owed you is too small to complain about. This is not about the money anymore, but about showing others what kind of business practices they currently have.

Do not feel like a bad person for complaining about a business that does you wrong. If we DO NOT complain about things that are done wrong to us by businesses, then we are enabling that business to do it to someone else.

Thanks,

Bear

for correct my post and also for link over NCL.

Increase the price is the reason why many ADers want to get their money refund.

If you sign the contract with Deaf Cruise, the price should be lock. I don't know what Deaf Cruise's policy is. I don't understand why they do that. I recommended that you go to your local travel agency and they always lock the price since they reserved the tickets. I never use Deaf Cruise. Thanks for warning us!!!! We were thinking about go on one Deaf Cruise trip but we just dropped that plan.

You may also file complaints with the Federal Trade Commission. The link to this is.

https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/

Also, I would suggest filing a complaint about them with the cruise line itself and that is
Welcome to Norwegian Cruise Line - Where you're free to whatever.

I am not trying to be mean about this or sound like I am holding a grudge against the company.

BUT if those that were not given refunds complained about the company, then we can save others from going through the same hassles we did. NO ONE will know what type of practices deaf cruise has unless we tell them. Would you WANT someone else to be hurt by this company such as we have?

Book at Travel Agency is the best recommendation.

Hello Thomas,

Wow you have decided to post this AD and it will considered as Defamation and you don't have all facts.

DeafCruise.com has been repeating ask for one simple a copy of check that you wrote to us and it will be done quickly but instead you refused. That's all we are asking to verify it.

You are right, you asked them not to be afraid to file out complain with FTC or BBB. And yet, I never heard a word from BBB in regarding of your situation and I have never heard from FTC about your situation.

My question is whether is DO YOU ACTUALLY fill out complain with FTC and BBB even you NEVER did. It doesn't make sense to me.

I feel free to show about our company which work out with just ONE complain customer in last 36 months. Here is a link BBB of Greater Arizona: Check Out a Business or Charity

I keep wondering.. if we have too many complains and it should have show that TOO many complains from BBB nor FTC.

Suppose, if FTC received lot of complains, I'm sure that our business will have trouble with FTC. But, It's not that case, because We do have an insurance, in event if thing doesn't work with refund issues and insurance will take care of it and pay out to everybody. Plain and simple.

We do refund to 99% of customers and remains of 1% are still undergoing working out and need more proof before we can completed refund. That's how business going on.

On other record, if you are thinking about other agency.. I high recommend go to US National BBB.org: Check Out a Business or Charity then you can type name of agency you wanted to know. If agency is able to follow up complains, or if bbb states that agency is okay or dissatisfactory or nothing.

In my opinion, things will never happened if NCL never cancelled pride of aloha. It will never occurred like this. Unfortunately, NCL did and we have to change. We changed and we adapted to serve them better over the time. We certainly have learned a lesson! It never happened to us before!

Here is a recently trip for Alaska 2008. Those people are paying HUGE $$$$$$$ and they are happy with it. That's more than 5x of worth pride of aloha costs. There is a link for people testimonial, at Deaf Cruise Alaska 2008 - Testimonials Also, there are pictures of deaf group who went alaska at DeafCruise.TV Gallery - Alaska Cruise Tours 2008 - Senior Citizens Only I am here to proof that deafcruise.com company don't try to something unethical against you. If you have problem with refund, we are actually help you. But few times, we need more information before we can give official refund out. In fact, we are very serious about help them and offer them great experiences in cruise.

Don't tell me you do not wanted to deafcruise.com because of that problem. It's unfair and We don't even cancelled pride of aloha. It's not our fault. We are very sorry about it. But it HAPPENED!

Hello deafcruise,

First of all you asked me for a copy of the invoice and yes I did send it and send it CC to Alex himself so he has proof I sent it. Second of all you know I did not send a check but a money order. And I do not feel I need to send that to you when I sent a copy of YOUR OWN invoice proving we paid you.

And yes I did file with all three of these agencies and yes I did file with ripoffreport.com. Nothing I have stated here is defamation. As everything stated is true. I have nothing to hide here. I did send a copy of the invoice and I stated that. You have not sent a refund as of yet. I stated that. You just admitted you did not send us a refund. I have the case numbers and report numbers. I also have a letter from the Arizona Attorney General stating they have recieved my complaint and will be in contact with your agency.
