Coach Gil Lentz: Father Figure, role model, best friend, counselor, neighbor and being a "teacher".

May rest in peace, Coach.

Apart from the acts of courage and sacrifices that our armed forces have done on our behalf, my heroes are the unsung ones.

The good Samaritans are persons who go out of their way to perform acts of kindness to others, especially strangers. People who run or do volunteer work in all charity organizations. Parents with severely disabled children, struggle to cope with everyday situations of caring and raising them. Volunteers going abroad to help the less fortunate. The list could go on and on.

They are the compassionate ones who do their jobs without complaint and putting others’ welfare instead of their own. These unsung heroes are the ones building their own exceptional sacrifice.

Talking

I would have to say that my heroes are my buddies who are still over in Iraq that didn't get out when I did. I also would add my parents because they raised 8 kids and my father supported us financially so my mom could be a stay at home mom. now those are super heroes.

Let's remain on the topic rather than steering the thread off course.

If you two, Meggie and Nightblade wish to continue the small talk - Take it out on the visitor's message and/or private messaging. That is what it is for.

Now, Back on the topic - My heroes are my family and friends, especially my paternal grandfather.
