I think you should try all the grocery stores in your area to see if they need a baker? Most Farmer jacks, krogers make cakes and stuff. And due to little/no experience, you'd be an easy hire....

It's not what you know, it's who you know!

The right job will come along. Keep working hard and you will get somewhere.

The foreign woman's a b*tch! I came in, and I had to rip off clothes out of plastic bags and lay it off next to a table for a bit. I did NOTHING and here's what happened. I looked at her table (not really hers) to find a box cutting knife, and she's nosy wanting to know what you want. She was like in her usual whiny voice, "what?" with an attitude. I said, "I need a knife in case I need to use it." She gave it to me, and I said, "Thank you" in a normal tone without aggravating her. I don't have a reason to fight.

I stack up clothes, and she say something in her bosy and know-it-all attitude. I don't like to listen to her when she's whiny and bosy. She told the person in charge and she explained to lay out pants and clothes in stacks separately. She tries to argue to the person in charge like I am doing something wrong on purpose. It's like she strokes her ego by trying to make me look bad. So, I go do it the right way. Hello?! I am still person in training!

I notice someone else who's a b*tch too. Sometimes there are two pieces of clothing that go together and one part is missing. There's also clothes without price tags. I put the missing 2-piece clothes under the table until I find it. I put the clothes with no tag elsewhere where person in charge said it was okay! I need my table space to work on more efficiently.

Anyway, I come back from lunch and this co-worker takes the missing piece under the table back out saying something to the other co-worker and laughed about it like I was a moron. This co-worker said she had a friend who had deaf parents and knew some sign *scoff* I said, that I couldn't find the other piece. Then, she pointed to the other pieces at the table behind me like I should have known or something. I got it, and I said that I put it under the table because I couldn't find the other piece. She tried to ignore me twice for some odd reason. I don't do that to her. I talk to her and repeat until she hears me because I think she thinks I am too shy to speak up. She put my stack of clothes with no tags back on the table.. grr!! I put everything back to where it was.

She's freaking weird. I mean, one moment she's like, "I don't know you", and the next she's like, "HI!" and converse with me stupid things like, "are you tired?" "Of course, I am fing tired waking up at 4 am." The next she ask, "do you eat?" "Yes." "You need food to have energy to work back there." Man, I am tired not hungry! Then, another time asked me, "you don't eat much, do you?" I said, "yes, but I eat before you come here," Then she's like, "Oh, I used to eat early and blah blah blah blah." She used to do the same that I did, so why is she looking at me like some odd thing being tired?! She acts like she has some personality disorder. Perhaps, she forgot?! She's tired sometimes, but I don't freaking ask no one if they're tired or why they're moody. It's obvious. If someone doesn't eat...who cares?! WHO CARES???

The boss was nice to me. The boss seem like nice people so far, but it's the crappy co-worker who have been there longer and know each other.

People are like two-faced here.

I'll see how this week goes...

I hate my job too, its the exact same thing all day everyday 5-6 days a week. Very monotoned. Eh.

BUT after I return from my vacation I plan on switching to Sanitation shift 10:30-5:30 and then go back to school part time to finish my degree. At some point - likely when I get my truck paid off, I'll try to find a job that is flexible with college students and one that will allow me to pick up some skills so that I can get a more normal schedule. But I plan on staying with my current company until my truck is paid for. Also the longer you stay at one company, the more likely you are to get hired at a better job because time means you'll stay and that you are a good worker. But the more frequently you change jobs just because you don't like them, the harder it becomes to find a job you'll like because it means you can't keep a job no longer than just a few months. The hiring manager sees it as "Why put all this time and effort into training someone that probably won't stay that long anyway?"

Clearsky, I am very sorry about your overworking. I like some work
less than hard-work. I like to type, shredding, and apartment cleaning to do my job.

I want to tell you about my age 19 back in the way. I working
at the VET (Vocational Evaluation Training). I feel stressed to concentrate, sometimes, I made
mistakes. Ugh. I feel they would try to fire me. I glad they didn't fire me, because they liked me so I quit, I had go to another job
for Library back in 2005 to 2006. I am glad about it over!
Again, I am happy with my shredding for their company.

My mom always told me that which was why I stayed at Jack in the Box from 15 years old to 20 years old despite the fact I hated working there.

"I have long been of the opinion that if work were such a splendid thing the rich would have kept more of it for themselves."

Is there a level of paranoia here?

If your signature upon your work is complete, you have nothing to worry about. Do not worry about others; other persons/things will take care of them/theirselves.

Focus on yourself, give all that you can give, and all will be given to you.

(unless, of course, you work for a franchise)

I had a job I hate before I got job at the Capitol. I've always wanted to work at the Capitol since I was high school. I did applied for House Page but got turned down in 2001 so I had to find other jobs such as janitor at a church, then student government and assocation but when I was working for student gov't and assocation, I end up get hired at the Capitol. The person who turned me down for page job gulped that I took capitol job in 2006 and hope he learned his lesson that deaf people can work at the Capitol too.

Dont feel too badly though. There are reports that my job may come to an abrupt halt due to the fact the Tyson has recently completed a full eviseration and deboning processing plant in Springdale, AR and that Tyson will no longer be needing to contract its poultry processing to our company. The Buffalo, MO plant shut down last month, the Arkadelphia, AR plant is reported to have been shut down in the past week or will be shutting down shortly within the next few weeks, and that my plant - the last one to go will be shut down by the end of June. This is very scary not knowing if I will have a job come August - the very time I need a job as I had originally planned on returning to school and working Sanitation shift overnight.

As much as I hate and detest my job - I also know I need as a source of income and a means of living.

I will be going on vacation next week and during that time I will give some thought as to what my course of action will be should our plant shut down. I have thought about drawing unemployment until I could get a job with the University that is specifically for students - but I need to make enough to cover truck payments, insurance, and gas back and forth to school, meaning at least 30 hours per week, at at least $7.00 per hour.

There is also ConAgra - but from what I am told they only hire during certain times of the year so I will need to keep bugginh my relatives who work there about that so that should it get to that point I have at least one option there for me.

I turned in my notice. I have never given a 2 weeks notice before. Even though, I don't have a job lined up already. I really need to leave it.

The boss was nice when she talked to me and she always is. I don't work with her much, and few people are nice there. The job is too repetitive. Of course, I didn't complain about the job or co-workers. I told her that I will take on something else.
