Only once did I stay at starbucks until four in the morning was when I was with my friend Andria during my sophmore year. But most of the time, I would stay there until like one or two in the morning, then head on home or head over to friend's house.

You know, I almost moved to Down Under when I was in fourth grade but unfourtinally, my mother refused to move to different country, She wanted to be near by her parents house, even though Dad and I have voted against her. Dad has visited there and he said it's a nice place to go visit so I wanted to go...and the scene of Down Under is beauitful...So hopefully I'll go someday...lol

Or we can have an AD member overnight stay at a beach cottage on the Washington coast and have a beach bonfire.....if you catch my drift.

Again...it depends on what time of the year you are thinking about this.

If it is in the middle of the summer...can't do since that is the high season.

I need to make $$$$$$$$ to get me through the low-season.

Update:

the plan for myself, WILL be in the low season, as it is summer time down here, I have been thinking a lot since this thread has been created. I am going to Japan with my family this year, so perhaps, if I can get a holiday loan to head to the states for 3 or 4 weeks so I can go around the states -

1 - San Francisco - ANY ONE FROM SF?? Or anyone who lives nearby, if I know you from AD. (If there is none, I'll drop this out)

2. Portland, Oregon. There is plenty of people I know from AD that I'd like to meet! If you are from seattle, you may have to consider the trip to Oregon to make this occassion, cause I am not going anywhere near washington, sorry!

3. Washington D.C - It is my confirmed state which I would want to visit, I know there is plenty of Ad'ers I know, such as Shel90, Authentic, and Farewell65. I would like to visit the university again too. If there is a starbucks meet, at the time of my visit, organise that too!

4. As I mentioned, Florida, well - people I know from Florida will have to make the trip to Washington D.C or Texas. Cause I am considering Texas onto the list.

5. Will catch the home flight from LAX.

- - People from Ohio, which state is the nearest from that? I wonder...

If you are outisde of the list - you may have to consider to trip interstate if you want to meet!

LakeTahoe - I am very famailar with McLean, VA! I think that is where my family friend's family lives there - the twins. Thats where I would be staying there when I am in Washington D.C

1 - San Francisco - ANY ONE FROM SF?? Or anyone who lives nearby, if I know you from AD. (If there is none, I'll drop this out) This is out of my list - not going anywhere near SF.

2. Portland, Oregon. There is plenty of people I know from AD that I'd like to meet! If you are from seattle, you may have to consider the trip to Oregon to make this occassion, cause I am not going anywhere near washington, sorry! This is my first stop and always will - people I know from here is just outside Oregon, such as Seqiouas, Byrdie714 and others, I think it would be worth for you to travel to Portland, Oregon to meet me on the special occassion. Will let you know. Someone (Such as PiyoPuyo or KarissaMann05) would need to organise everyone to meet on the day I meet deaf people.

3. Washington D.C - It is my confirmed state which I would want to visit, I know there is plenty of Ad'ers I know, such as Shel90, Authentic, and Farewell65. I would like to visit the university again too. If there is a starbucks meet, at the time of my visit, organise that too! Washington D.C is always my second stop - will stay there a bit longer, all other AD'ers such as Authentic, Shel90, Farewell65 can organise some deafies to meet at this occassion. I also would like to catch up with Jean Bergey @ Galladuet University.

4. As I mentioned, Florida, well - people I know from Florida will have to make the trip to Washington D.C or Texas. Cause I am considering Texas onto the list. Florida nor texas is unfortunately out of my list. Will explain furter below

5. Will catch the home flight from LAX. OR from Washington D.C

- - People from Ohio, which state is the nearest from that? I wonder...
People from Ohio, New York, and other nearby states near Washington D.C - you might want to consider a trip to Washington D.C to meet me in person, I will make this occasion worthwhile your trip. Plus, I might consider to visit New York for a day or two, if someone can be my tour guide, cause New York is a big city, and I am not going to fly - is there alternative option from washington D.C to New York by bus or something? Please let me know.

For the people, from Texas and AR (Such as Dixie and Freaky Cat) I am sorry I am not intending to go anywhere southwest, but if you REALLY want to meet, you might either try and convience me or make the trip to Washington D.C.

The plan is I might think of asking a $5,000 holiday loan, the money would include my flight tickets, I do not really want to catch too many flights in around the United States if I intend to go to different states, can anyone help me to see if my $5,000 budget can fit my trip - possibility of 2 weeks max? Give me ideas/opinions/suggestions as you can! I would love to read some comments from you.

Jclarke, I'm curious why you picked Portland over Seattle? Seattle is only 3 hours from Portland by driving and a little longer on the train.

G, please call me Jake. I chosen Portland over Seatttle becuase I have more than one friend who lives there - such as KarissaMann05 and PiyoPuyo. Seattle only has one, but no offense, if I decide not to go Seattle. YOu could convience me, if I should drive over to seattle for a day.

Nah, I'm not gonna convince you to come to Seattle. Since there are more people that you know live in Portland area, that's fine. I don't mind coming down to Portland to meet you and other AD'ers.

Two weeks should be enough for $5000 depending on time and season, though, but no shopping spree for you.

Just a tip: if you pick a flight in US that'll make few stops, it'll be cheaper than taking a similar flight that makes only one stop or no stop, which is more expensive. If that's the case, you could stretch your visit a bit longer at one of the stop along the way.

Also have you contacted STA travel? They're cool because they make prices cheaper for people under 26.

This'll allow you to build your schedule and pick which stops you want to go to.

Try this

US Airways | America West Airlines - Official Site

Play around with it and you'll see what I mean by a flight with few stops or no stops.

LakeTahoe - I am very famailar with McLean, VA! I think that is where my family friend's family lives there - the twins. Thats where I would be staying there when I am in Washington D.C

What about the train between NYC and DC? I forget the name of it? Metroliner? Goes right into Penn Station in NYC. It's fast. I've never used it, though....
