I think it's San Marino, famous for castles on cliffs and steep terraced land . . . infamous for the world's worst soccer teams (probably because they can't find a level place large enough for a regulation field). |

I know Bottesini's answer was more accurate by English spelling, but in Chinese, Chan and Chang are just regional differences. It was my fault 'cause I should've answered sooner. Sorry. Your turn, Byrdie. |

Thanks Chase....
Time for clues for another geography lesson: 1. Got independence on September 21, 1964 2. Became a republic in the commonwealth on December 13, 1974. 3. Settled by Sicanians in 5200 B.C. |

Bott: I'm so sorry if I made you believe you had offended. You didn't at all. And your spelling was exact and correct. It's just Byrdie's was close enough. My bad all around. |

Sorry, no.
![]() Good to see that you are playing. You are on the right continent but wrong countries.1. Colonized by Portugese, then the Brits colonized them. The Germans whined that they weren't getting any colonies in Africa, so the British gave them this country. The French ended up getting this country as a payment from the Germans due to WWI. 2. "The Slave Coast" 3. Beware of the saleswomen in the market or you will end up with more than what you wanted. |
