Ahhh!!! I hate it!
Two months ago, I started being on a diet - weight watchers and it helps me a lot to lose weight because I kept lose one to three pounds every week until yesterday I weight myself at home, I realized that I gained two pounds. I was like what did I do? I have been doing exercise everyday and drink waters...I mean A LOT OF WATERS!! and watch what I am eating.
I got mad and don't understand why it happened, I thought I would keep losing some more weights. I wish I would just lose more than three pounds, but I kept losing like between one to three pounds. Is it just because I'm slow? Is my body fixing to quit or something? I have been thinking about figure out why it happened all day and night since yesterday. Some people said I might gain weight just because of gain muscle, drink a lot of water that cause gain water or something, they suggest me not to drink water on that day when I weight myself. Anyone have any advices???? |

I understand your fusteration babyangel.
I would be losing some pounds then wont lose anymore, or i would be losing them then i go on a binge and gain them all back. Its fusterating. But just keep in there. 1-3 pounds a week is a great start! Don't let it get you. :-) I lost about 10 pounds since school started, actually 2 weeks after school started, and since then i couldn't lose any more weight. Grrr. I heard somewhere, that if you go on a diet, but get stuck because cant lose any more weight, you could eat apple all day, that it just apple, nothing else. and water of course. And it may help get the weight down again. But don't use this method all the time because if you use it all the time then your body will get used to it and will think its nothing, and wont work. So only use it when you feel that you are not losing any more weight then try that method. There is other method but i forget, I have to look in the book again, at home. I will look into it when i get home this friday. Best of Luck. I will need it too. :-) |

it's probably muscles you're gaining which is GREAT!!! Keep doing what you're doing, don't feel or think negative about yourself. Keep exercising.. you'll see when you lose more and gain more muscle.. you'll feel so much better about yourself. I suggest you not to weigh yourself when you're on a diet.. Just go with the flow and lose weight without thinking about how much you weigh. I was told that if you think about weight.. it'll be hard to focus on losing weight. Go on with whatever you were doing.. Good Luck!!!

Hey BabyAngel,The Weight Watcher program is all about portion control, more than thinking it is a diet. The average weight loss each week that is just right for any member is 1 to 2 pounds a week, if you lose more, then that is great. Also, it depends on your metabolism (energy). If you're metabolism is slow, then you will lose it slow. If your metabolism is high, then you will lose it fast. Remember one thing BabyAngel, men lose weight faster then women do, because their metabolism is much higher than a women's. Other factors to consider, did you have too much starch during the week? Did you drink too much water? 8 to 10 glasses of water each day is just right, any more than that, will cause bloating. That time of month too, you can gain anywhere from 2 to 10 pounds during that time of body fluid. Exercise is good, but, when you do exercise take into consideration that muscle will outweigh the fat. You could be on a plateau. This happens to a lot of people. A plateau is when you don't lose weight for at least 3 weeks, and then you start dropping again. Make sure that you jot everything down on your meal tracker, and keep track of all the points you ate and your bonus points. It you cheat? Make sure you count it. Just be careful of the starches, like your carbs, corn, peas, pasta. They can put on weight and cause you to have a gassed up feeling. It's better to lose the weight slower, than to lose it faster, where you will be more conscious of what and how you eat by losing the weight slower. Whereas, if you lose the weight too fast? You will lose control once you get to your goal weight. You don't want to do that as you have worked so hard to get where you are today. You had a gain, so alright, don't let that get you down, just chalk it up to experience, and then say to yourself " I am going to have a better week this week. " We are not perfect BabyAngel, and there will be times that we will make mistakes, and when we do, we don't kick ourselves, we just start over the next day. Sometimes there is no explanation why you have a weight gain, it just happened, and when that does, don't get upset, because your emotions control your eating habits. Just move on, and do better the next time. Eat different foods each day, don't keep eating the same foods day after day as you will have a weight gain. Don't beat yourself up, next week you will have a better week and a better weigh in. Be good to yourself, keep your emotions high and positive, and tell yourself I can do this. You will do fine!!!! Good luck!!! You have come this far, don't give up on yourself now. Move forward BabyAngel, not backward. |

BabyAngel,
I'm proud that you are working on your weight, but honestly; You are just as beautiful in your picture on your avatar. If you feel that you needed to lose weight, in order to make yourself feel better, That's great! But, I wouldn't worried about the 2 pounds gain, sometimes scale can be tricky. I have a scale at home and sometimes it's goes up or down. It's like what the heck? But, then I weight myself at my doctor's office, I lost more! I didn't even see it coming. I'm sure everything is fine, Just keep doing what you have been doing and You will see a big change in you in couple months.

Don't feel bad.. I was on a diet last spring and I lost 27 lbs all together.. i havent been back on the weight scale since ... so i dunno how much i weight now? LOL .. really I guess its due to eating good foods (lots of fibers, veggies, and fruits are best- no breads at all) and walking alots? stay away from junks and sweets. of course drinking water helps.. thats all i did? im not on meds or anything? i have lost 74 lbs before and i can do it again.. I gained all my weights back due to getting preggy..ever since i lost my daughter- i have lost all together 55 lbs and now im trying to lose more weight.. yeah i have gained few due to the time of the month, thats normal.. but i lost it again.. so losing weights is not for anyone but for myself.. so i can feel BETTER, stay healthy and live longer.. i only need to lose 40 lbs of my fatty thingys..
here i am in wyoming.. i am not sure where to walk as i dont feel comfy here yet.. lol.. so im stuck here.. i cant wait to go back home and start walking again..

It sounds like you have been on weight watcher program before, have you? I learned something new from you about what you are trying to tell me. It does make me feel a little bit better after read your post, I didn't even know that if I eat something same every day, it would cause me gain some weight. Thank you very much for letting me know, I appreciate that. But sometime I do eat the same thing everyday but not always, so maybe that is why I gained weight. I love this program because it does help me a lot and always write down everything what I ate and sometime write down what I plan to eat during the day. I mean I can eat anything I want as long as I'm under the points I am suppose to be on. Thank you again

My friend had a high blood pressure for two-three years, he have been trying to lose some weight, but it didn't happened then somehow he started working at his new job that caused him walk a lot back and forth. He still does eat a lot of junk foods but somehow he had to go to the doctor to check up, his doctor said that he lost 40 pounds since 4 months so far. I was like what! Then I forget that the males always lost weight more than the females. (He still eats junk foods and still lose more weights) |

BabyAngel.... I just want to say.. You are not only one.. I am going through right now...
first.. I was really overweight the top i weighted was 365 in 1996.. I went through hardships with divorce and losing house.. being single mom of 4 kids and alot of struggles.. I lost quickly almost 150 pounds, I ended up real sick with kideny infection and liver infection.. I put everything aside and be with kids and tried to take care of myself.. got better... but I didnt excerise that time... but later.. 2 years... I gained weights, its like coming back again.. the dr said its normal and common when people lose weights so fast and gain right back sometime more what you were.. Recently.. I still stay on weights after I gave my last baby.. I gained again due to depressions and herina... i couldnt lift or push for while.. last spring, Dr wanted me to have herina repair again.. I told dr.. too risk for me to have surgery (heavy people should think about losing weights before surgery) cuz I dont want lose life over that... so I have been working on losing weights.. I lost 30 pounds since 3 months, it seems forever but it worth it.. take time and it will makes your health more healthier.. we got puppy.. i went out for walk daily.. and drink alot water.. my goal to lose other 30 pounds so i can go for surgery.. my herina isnt serious cuz i took care of it.. if i dont.. must have go in right away.. I just want say that i lost few good cousins and friends that they lost their life after surgery.. cuz they were overweights.. :/ I dont want it happen to me. I have 6 wonderful kids that I want live long and grow up with them.. just take time.. excerise and drink water.. eat right.. less salt .. the salt is number one always bloat your fluid system.. and meats.. take out fats.. bake them or grill them.. not fry.. ![]() dont let it get you down.. if you gain 2-3, dont cry or upset.. better than 20-30.. maybe 2-3 .. bloat or pms.. ![]() Huggs.. hang in there.

BabyAngel, you are so very welcome, and I am glad that I was able to give you some information that helped you. Feeling guilty and upset about a weight gain, makes your week unbearable. You're right, I was on the Weight Watchers program, and I also worked for them too as a receptionist. I had learned a lot working for them. Most of the tips I gave you, I learned more when I was working for them. Now, you think more positive this week, put your best foot forward, and remember last week is the past. We all make mistakes, we are not perfect, and we will have an occasional weight gain every now and then. Just don't beat yourself up, just chalk it up to experience, then move on from there knowing you're going to have a much better week. As the weeks go on BabyAngel, you're going to learn so much with your Weight Watcher leader, the brainstorming that goes on at the meetings. When you share something good/bad during a meeting, you are going to be so surprised how many other people are going through the same thing you are, which will make you feel so much better. Take in other members problems too as this will be a learning tool for you too. Again, I am so glad that I was able to help you in someway. Remember to make the scale your friend, not your enemy. I wish you all the best. I agree with Cheri though, you are a very beautiful person!!!! Good luck with Weight Watchers!!!

Look at your food nutrition facts:
Keep Carbohydrate low as possible such as perhaps 23g. It is also fat. Cholesterol should be zero or less. Low Fat milk and 2% are NOT good for you. Regular organic milk is the best. (Avoid HOOD milk - it has BgHT in it due growth hormones.) No sugar or less as 10g. No refined sugar. - Honey converted to a real sugar. - Try buy some food at a health food store because of no BgHT or no preserve stuff. - Eat a lot of fresh vegetables from a health food store as possible. (Don't buy at a regular store for vegetables because of the chemicals.) - Avoid high fruit corn syrup. - Eat organic wheat or rye bread from a health food store - of course. - NEVER buy diet cokes. Diet coke contains Aspartame (danger). Regular coke is just ok as long as it is not everyday. If something that bothers your stomach, you can drink the regular soda. - Must avoid Nutrasweet which is not good for your health. - Avoid Canola oil. - Olive oil, flax, and hemp oil are ok. These are good fats. This is different. - Reduce eating meats if possible. |

First of all your post got me curious because 365 pounds are very overweight. I have a friend who lost his weight alot from 400 pounds to 140 pounds for one year to leave flaggy skin which it look awful on his naked body like this. It's impossible to show his body off to the public like swimming, etc. So he let surgery to cut his skin off to make it look smooth. He said that alot of excrise does not help to make his skin smooth & more muscle but still plenty of wrinkles/flaggy skin... Operation cost him EUR 7,000. What about you? Your skin in your body goes normal & automaic when you lost alot of weight? |

I would suggest you to ask weight watcher about one of pure lemon or 100% juice to add with warm water into glass to drink before eat your first breakfast, BabyAngel.
It's very good to help to reduce the fat, weight... |

I am not sure if the companies sell multi-vitamin liquids. Liquid is better that spreads your body quickly. You are right about taking many prescriptions (pills) that makes a person fat. I find that hard to believe it. I have heard of it from someone or in the newspaper. One more thing about a diet coke. It is really so bad for anyone to drink it. Here is the quote: "Aspartame/Nutrasweet is a brain drug that stimulates your brain so you think that the food you're eating tastes sweet. If you pay attention you'll notice that when using Aspartame/Nutrasweet, everything you eat at the same time also tastes sweet! This may be why Aspartame/Nutrasweet causes you to crave carbohydrates. Hence, you won't lose weight using it." A regular soda is ok because it does not have the aspartame. Anything that you see a word "Diet" on the product Do not even think about buying it. I usually buy soda at Stop & Shop such as Izze or Nectarfizz because they are natural, and they are not diet. In fact, the bubble in soda is really good for your stomach to release old food stuff... Even, if you have diarrhea, you can drink it to make your stomach feel better. What do you think of my suggestions about the nutrient facts? Are you willing to follow it? Please let us know... Wish you a good luck! |
