I was just diagnosed with mild-moderate hearing loss and NO ONE thinks I need hearing aids. My husband thinks that's everyone has some kind of hearing loss and mine is just age related.

Yes, that is often true. People with mild losses often find the hearing aid is more inconvenient than just coping with the loss.

I enjoy hearing everything! It's hard for me to hear everything in classrooms especially if there's background noise

Well , my one ear that is aideable is severe to profound, and I guarantee you that anybody with a hearing aid is going to have trouble distinguishing with background noise in that type of environment.

I can't hear in large places with a lot of ambient noise. I don't think a hearing aid will help you with that.

welcome! BTW I'm right ahead of you but I did had a mild to moderate loss diagnosis when I was a baby (luckliy it was bad enough that I needed hearing aids *which are a real dinosaur now*)

I agree , wearing a HA will only made the background noise louder. When I go out to see my family I tried get a table in a corner that has no seats behind it so I will not get a lot background noises .

Yup, even unilateral loss people often have issues where there's background noise.
