I'm starting to give on dating and I'm only 33

Why is it that every time a guy finds out I'm deaf and blind it go down hill from there . Like if I date a deaf guy he will be like you see signs I'm like we can sign touch finger palm spell .. I don't get another date . Or when a hearing guy is like your pretty then ask me out it changes later on . I really want husband I'm not into all this dating stuff . I know I shouldn't give up but this is hard man . Also like blind people are like how will I learn to sign write in palm .. It seems no one want to make the accommodation . Question would you date a deaf blind ... Or this is all in my head .. And I'm just not patient enough.
 
I fail to understand how someone blind reads the responses? or even reply?
 
I use voice over on my iPhone ..and as for sign there are more then one way to communicate sign .i also use hearing aids a body aid ..it's very powerful but that's not he point .. There're so much technology .now .

It's complicated. I had a deaf/blind roommate once before, and the only way for him to communicate is to have his staff sign to him. What he does is he "feels" the sign, and he'll understand what they're saying. It's a patience thing communicating with people like these, and they also have had extensive training learning how to communicate this way, and it's not an easy thing to do.
 
But still people should give me a chance it's lonely I'm strong but still .. It's cool how it's now is with my dating life . It just needs to get better .
 
I dont understand how someone blind "see" the forum to read it and respond back? Myself would think the person can see, maybe others are misled by that??? thinking they can see to an extent, and when meeting they find out differently even when told that they are blind ? I know it can be hard to understand as well as those who can hear dont understand that we who are deaf cant hear...

There's different kinds of blindness. There's legally blind, and then there's full blindness. I'm guessing the OP is legally blind, and is using special, but powerful glasses to help her see. I have a roommate who's the same way.

Agreed, everyone deserves a chance, you are probly the best person anyone would ever meet, but if they dont give it a chance they will never know. Ive had girls make excuses not to date me because I couldnt hear them, thinking I never listen to them... years later they find out how well I was doing and how poorly they were doing then turned the tables... well, they got an ear full too !
 
Yes I'm legally blind vision is about 20/ 800 .. And no vision on the sides at best I have what's call counting fingers vision .i use zoom text on phone right now but I have severe light sensitivity. Do to my neuromuscular condition called myasthenia graviis . And optic atrophy and nastagmus .. Anyway yeah I'm nice and sweet but no guy will ever know . Unless they give me a chance other then saying your pretty you look sexy I'm more then that . I play music sing .. Write poetry so many other thing I love to cook . I guess this way it's going to be for as long as I can hang on I do have self love . And then that most important.
 
Well, there is a lucky guy out there who is looking, but just havent found you yet.

Everyone gets frustrated from time to time, its good to let it out and talk to someone for comfort or guidance. People get upset with daily life, relationships, careers, health issues...it never ends. But it helps to let off steam, calm down and get your head clear again. Good luck, there's someone out there with the same issue....just that chance encounter waiting to happen, may not be now, but when its most unexpected.
 
Okay just will continue to wait it out life must go on no matter what . I have had love before my husband passed away .but that was 15 years ago three kids later and I'm alone . But it's fine I guess ..

Well, it wont happen if you just sit at home. Do you go to meets, festivals? Go out with some friends have fun, get introduced to new people and expand your circle of friends, never know who is out there looking, Love is strange and has odd ways of finding its match.

No I don't go out I'm a single mother don't much time for much .. As for friends most are hearing so that sucks and when I do treated like a baby I guess I just need new friends . I'm ready for a change really I will be getting a guide dog in November I had some set backs with health it a has real been hell . I won't give up I just need a opportunity.i know sitting at home feeling sorry for myself won't do it .

Try and find a local community college or deaf/blind event, I recently started attending them myself to make friends so I can better my ASL. My wife even quit talking to me and makes me sign to her now...lol
Went to a Deaf meet last weekend and going to a Deaf Festival this weekend. Made a few friends already but they are too far to travel, so they try to attend meets regularly, may see them again this weekend???
Talk to the community college and see if there are any events at the school or in public, once you go sign up for emails of future events, thats what I did... and they come in almost daily.
