Anyone wear body aids .

Dose anybody have experience with body aids ..I'm going to be getting one a very powerful I don't want feed back .
 
I did have something like that in school (I had a bodyworn FM system when I started preschool)

better not drive you nuts now!!
 
Yeah I wore a body aid when I was 8 yo. . I don't think I got feed back but it did made my HA made feedback in a class room to bug teacher I hated like hell. No one like her . I would take my earmold and it on the front where the sound went it and that made a horrible feedback. I think as long as your ear mold it fixed correctly you should be OK .
 
I last wore one back in 1990. That is when I was in elementary school. I wasn't a big fan of it.
 
I never heard of body aids. I know of HAs and pacemaker. what are those, please?

I wore one just like this and had to wear a harness that went on like a bra under my dress. It looked like I had one square boob !
 
I wore a body aid as a kid. I much prefer the BTEs. Much lighter and no wires to tangle up.
 
Lol .. I need something powerful .. I know it's like a little annoying but I maxed out my hearing aid..went for replacement aids and god a body aid ..
 
I went to get replacement aids and I maxed out, I was offered a body aid . I need a ultra powered aid a basic one no feed back and lots of power being deaf blinds it's not easy so Im using a body aid .

I was trying to find the page for it , it some kind of device to help you hear better but I have no idea this that thing worked or not . LOL! I did find this photo I thought was funny!

Didn't think anyone made body aids anymore as the technology has been able to maybe everything smaller.

I think it's weird that they offered you a body aids. What kind of hearing aids did you have?
 
Could it be a matter of controls because she also has vision issues

HUH??? What does vision issues have to do with the kind of HA you wear. She has fingers and is very capable of feeling what she need to do . Have you ever met a blind person before ?


When I was a health aide I had clients that where 2 sisters one sister was HOH and the other one was blind . The blind sister told her hoh sister that some dishes where rattling in the cupboard and they might break and asked her to fix the dishes . The HOH sister walk over and open up the door and looked at the dishes and said " she can't find the dishes " The blind sister said" For goodness sake " and she get up waked over to the cupboard and fix the dishes . I am trying my best not to LOL! The blind sister was able move the dishes and not break one of . Being blind does not mean you're helpless.
 
The power I get from the body aids are strong and my hearing don't feed back as much . But I'm thinking about a analog aid now for my right hear .my left is very profound my right is sever .70 to 90 db .my left is 95 to 120 db .
 
I don't care for all the high tech aids when your hearing loss is really bad you just want hear everything that's it ..I have hearing aids and still have ask people to repeat and use speaker on my cell .right by my hear to hear something not even everything . The person is saying anyhow I love analogs that's my preference .
