Hello! I'm in an online Deaf Education course and I need help. I am supposed to ask a deaf person a couple question but I do not know anyone personally that is deaf. The question is: how should English be taught? Should it be the primary focus of Deaf Education? If you could answer these it would be a great help. Thanks!

If you take a Deaf education online then you should not have any problem locating any Deafies. Just saying.

Since there are many degrees of deafness, English should be taught taking those degrees into consideration. The problem is compounded by the fact that English is not a complete language. It is unfinished at best. It should be taught using a combination of sign and non-sign methods to help different people with different degrees of deafness learn it.

What have you done to try to meet someone who is Deaf?

Old folk homes should have a lot of HOH and deaf there.....just sayin'....Call one up and ask...be sure to bring flowers or a snack.

Try drag strips. Deaf people are always frequenting those spots with big egos bragging about their turbocharged vehicles. I'm sure they would love to interview with you especially if you've a vehicle with turbocharged engine of your own.
