Hi Everyone! :P

My name is Jason Lang and I'm a Recreation Director in West Chester, Pennsylvania, near Philadelphia. this summer, we're putting together an AIR (All Inclusive Recreation) Festival.
The festival’s target audience is for special needs populations and will include bands, comedians etc.

I'm interested in finding deaf entertainment acts that would be interested in performing!

The date is July 12th and I’d be happy for any help provided!

Thanks!
Jason Lang

I don't know if they are still active or not but there used to be a group called Sunshine Too out of NTID/RIT I think it was. It's a mix of hearing and deaf; they do various skits (including a hilarious Star Trek TNG one)and songs all in ASL and voiced by the hearing players. They used to come down every year to the place I worked at in PA.

I can't find any contact information- they may not be active anymore :(

mm special needs?

I caught that too. Maybe "special needs populations" is used to describe people that are Autistic, have Down Syndrome, or Aspergers. Maybe he did not need to imply that Deaf are special needs population. I try to give people the benefit of doubt, because I am sure at one point of my life that I have said something that was taken the wrong way.

what about Keith Wann? He seems pretty popular from what I have read about him.

Yes I agree. I found it strange when I caught OP mentioned special needs. I know he did not mean to say that but he meant for every one with their own unique. :D

keith wann is a CODA, not special needs. :)
