What's with Amazon Prime shipping? Lately I've ordered several things from Amazon (different orders) that were eligible for free 2-day Prime shipping. They never arrive in two days. My latest two orders are examples.

1. Shipped on 3 April, expected delivery on 10 April. I've been following the tracking. It left San Diego on 3 April, and arrived in Memphis 6 April. (Destination is South Carolina.) That would be 7 days, not 2.

2. Shipped on 5 April, expected delivery on 9 April. It's coming from Charlotte, NC, just the next state over. That would be 4 days, not 2.

have you reported it to amazon?

I too have Amazon Prime membership and I don't recall experiencing something like this... only when it's back-ordered.

I can understand back orders, no problem. These are items that have actually shipped.

If you haven't had problems with Prime, I wonder if it's FEDEX that's having problems? Who is your usual shipper?

usps. or maybe seller lied in order to get a Prime status?

It's various sellers, not just one. Also, I follow the tracking, which I don't think the seller controls.

I notice sometimes FEDEX transfers shipment to USPS. Then it sits in the post office for a day or two before I get it delivered. :( I don't know why FEDEX can't deliver to the house. I see them (and UPS) drive by my house every day.

The best free delivery I get is from Staples. Only1-2 days.

I dread when Fedex is my shipper. They usually don't get it to my house. A neighbor has brought it before, and once just never arrived and was replaced.

Damaged packaging has been a problem with Fedex also, necessitating replacement.-

I don't bother use Amazon Prime. I'm fine with standard thry USPS.

As a student I get the Prime for free, so I use it.

I found out a little while ago that my latest order started out on FEDEX then was transferred to USPS for the final delivery.

with my Prime shippings, it's been UPS that delivers them for me. My only complaint is UPS always leaves my packages with the apartment office instead of leaving it at my door. Last week when I was expecting a video game package, I left a note on my door asking UPS to leave the package at my door and they did. Fed-Ex almost always leaves packages at my door. But yeah, have had no real issue with prime 2-day shipping.

Also, I don't know if UPS or Fed-Ex delivers on weekends (business day shipping?). No idea how that works.

I don't have Amazon Prime, but I know not everything comes through Amazon or, for that matter, even UPS.

I ordered two items and they came from two different carriers.

I can tell you if the items is not in stock(at amazon or the seller), of course, nobody is getting it in two days, which has happened to me even after I've paid overnight shipping.

paying for overnight shipping on Friday is silly. it depends on when but if you ordered it on say... Mon-Wed... and you didn't get it overnight... then you should file a complaint about it.

Amazon does email you after you receive package to ask if you were satisfied about shipping time, etc.

How do they know when you are no longer a student?

I have 6 months free prime for being a student. just 6 months, so if I want to keep prime after my 6 months is up, I have to pay up but I won't.

That's interesting. As I understand it, you basically get their version of Netflix with that so it's a really awesome deal.

The items that I ordered were shipped, not back ordered. I use the actual tracking for counting the days.

It's for a set six months.

Other than that, the college fairy godmother tells them, I guess.

(They check your student email account.)
