Found place where I plan to donate junk bikes
I have always said that I would rather scrap bikes than to donate for tax receipts. I got lucky recently. I bought something from 1 thrift store for about $10. I then dropped it off to be auctioned off. It sold for a bit over $700. Therefore, after auction commission, I still win big. I feel like I hit jackpot there. I feel like I want to give something back. I plan to donate some bikes to that thrift store. I know they often fixes up bikes to sell. I would hope they can fix or use parts from bikes that I plan to donate. I feel important to give something back.

In our town we take the bikes the college students leave behind when school gets out and donate them to a bike co-op.
Kind of like this one (I'm not sure if this is the EXACT one our town uses: Working Bikes Cooperative Working Bikes Cooperative recovers landfill-bound bicycles, repairs them to working condition, and sells them to Chicagoans at a low cost in order to fund shipments of bicycles and bike parts to developing countries. Working Bikes Coop is 100% volunteer.
