Deaf Communities in Cincinnati and Columbus OH
Hello to those of you who live or have lived in either Cincinnati and/or Columbus.
I would like to learn more about the communities there as well as the LGBT community there. I have family there in both cities, and I have had a chance to meet a few people in some of these communities, but really haven't gotten a clear picture of the communities there. I do want to downsize the city I live in. Houston is just TOO MUCH! There is more than 6 million people in a 50-mi radius! I would like to know which makes more sense, to move there to be closer to family (though I have family in Dallas but HATE Dallas because people seem to be the same and of the religious bent - I lived in Arlington for 8 years, '86-94), or to stay here in this 4th largest nuthouse in the country and be trapped indoors by the heat all summer long. I have no family here (stepmother is over an hour and a half from here, and NONE of her kids ever visit me). There is the issue of being trapped indoors all winter in OH and having to build a house inside whatever apartment I decide to get in order to nearly triple the insulation value. Thanks in advance. P.S. You may know of my aunt, Panna Flower, and her daughter and daughter-in-law, Chris and Moni. If you do, I'm Panna's niece. |
