Haven't been to McDonald's in years, nor Burger King. After heart surgery, the idea of too much junk food or fast food isn't nearly as tempting as it used to be...
We do indulge but we like Nation's. I get the Harvester not so much because it's healthier (hardly, with cheese, their mayo, etc.

I have to resist... I do enjoy KFC or McDonald's (usually at service plaza while travelling) but I couldn't eat them all the time... especially a Whopper, you taste those for the rest of the day. A Wendy's Big Bacon Classic, though... harder to resist!

I try to stay away from fast food, but it's hard with teenagers in the house.
I prefer BK, but McD's is cheaper. If I'm gonna spend the money, I go to Taco Bell.

A local franchise (pretty sure it started here) is spreading across the east coast. Jake's Wayback Burgers. Fresh, never frozen hamburgers and other goodies (or so they say - I'm a picky eater). I like their real milkshakes and their hamburgers are ok. Not crazy about the buns they use.
Menu - Wayback Burgers

its called videography, very skilled, and on top a particular type of hypotising music in background to lure you in,...even if you're deaf wearing HAs or CI theres no trouble hearing those...so alluring and it's a tv's version of 'make that smell' only except TV doesnt have the smell device (there is a such thing but not on a 24/7 type mass media type device (and hope bloody not - imagine smelling deaf whales on the beaches in a documentary!- nobody will be watching it in the room! lol)...

When you grill a burger at home, notice how the burgers fall apart easily? Compare that to the burgers from McD's and BK's. You can take their burgers and throw them across the room and they will still be intact. Wendy's burgers are more tolerable, as their burgers are more "real" than the others.

Oh, why did I click this thread?
![]() I haven't eat McD or any food chains since several years ago, reason? PINK SLIME, and not healthy food. I'm glad SF have very few McD (most on tourist areas) and plenty of LOCAL restaurants, including DEAF OWNED restaurant "Mozzeria"

I have to say that every few years I give in to a Big Mac. My daughters like to remind me that a Big Mac is equivalent to drinking a 1/4 of oil. That kind of grosses me out, but I still induldge every now and then. Now I am hungry, but will be eating an Asian Chicken salad from Panera. They have great food!!!

Interesting. Here in NYC BK is cheaper than McDs. I wonder why.

No kidding?? WOW!! That would be so cool if we could smell the food on the commercials! Quote:
LOL! But pink slime tastes so good! Every few years? You have good self-control. I try not to eat too much fast food so that I won't gain extra weight. There are so many calories in a Big Mac, I think with the fries and soda it's a whole day's worth of calories. So I always order a diet soda with my Mac and fries..

![]() I might have a Big Mac on occasion but I have cut down a lot compared to when I was younger, thinner and more active. When I was a student I cycled everywhere. Now I drive, my job is sitting at a desk all day, and a lot of people in my office have piled on the pounds since starting. So, eat less yummy junk, drink less, become boring. No Wendy's in the UK any more, so tend's to be McDonald's as I find that Whoppers tend to leave a bad taste in my mouth for the rest of the day. |
