Likes and Dislikes feature?

Just wondering if I could suggest a feature that could be possible implement on AD - the likes/dislikes feature on each post for the people if they like the post, they can like it. What you think?
 
Are you addicted to Facebook....influenced by the Facebook idea, si? :giggle:
 
I don't see a problem with it. It's pretty much akin to those of us who post a "+1" and so on, indicating we like what that poster said.
 
What would be the purpose of such a feature?
 
There are some forums do have "agree" & "disgree", "funny", "love", and "helpful".

I feel "likes" and "dislikes" are pretty poor taste, IMO.

Those are already like or dislike above.
 
Maybe it can save broadband space by adding that so people dont have to create new posts just show these emoticons Botts is referring to? Just a thought.

new posts and "like/dislike" would cause same effect on server.

Look what happens on YouTube when people anonymously click "dislike" on a video that has nothing negative about it. It just inflames people and has its own drama.

So I don't think it is a great idea.
 
The "LIKE" idea sounds good, but I don't think the "DISLIKE" idea would be good.

Ever heard of the saying, "If you don't have anything good to say, don't say anything at all."

Well, that should apply to the "LIKE" and "DISLIKE" feature. If you don't like it, just leave it alone. If you do like it, then you can LIKE it! :)
 
Well this feature turns out to have happened on AD :lol:
 
Eh that wouldn't bother me- there is another forum I go to that has or used to have "Applaud" /"Smite" - I think... but it reverted back to the default when the guy messed around with his forum.. "Karma: good/bad". Just a little postbit inside the user's panel that you'd see over to the left there <----

for that forum it's fine- most of the people knew each other enough that we understood it was just a 'thing' to play with plus now there's hardly anyone there anymore anyway. Maybe not a good idea here- I know there's a few- um enemies or huge intense dislike (hatred?) for some people...
