Suggestion/feedback for alldeaf choices

Is there a way that we can choose which forums pop up on our "new post". I would like to have choices which forums to appears on my "new post" than all of them.

What are your thoughts?

Oh, wait... I just realized something. I decided to post a "Happy Birthday" thread for you and everyone else joined in to say "Happy Birthday" to you. Yet, you didn't see it cuz you decided to ignore that specific forum. :(

Never mind... bad idea.

Why would you want to limit which forum you want to read?
 
I am picky... I just want to block one forum. The rest of everything is good except one. That why I want to block one forum.

And nobody will post Happy Birthday in that specific forum for sure. Thanks for your wishful thinking.
 
Or... set priority which forum I want to see first before other forums?

That way I can put the forum that I dislike to the bottom.

Facebook allows me to control what I see and get information. I would like to have control here too. I like to control the information I receive from Internet.
 
That could be a good option for people who want it. As for me, I dont care cuz I know which subforums I like to visit. If the title doesnt catch my eye, I quickly glance at which subform (Deaf education, General chat, Current events, and etc) the title is under. If it is under the subforums that I frequent go to, then I will click on the title to see what it is about.
 
I noticed there is an issue about religion forum being shut down. Sorry, I don't mean to pry but this thread was to promote freedom of what I read.

Now that issue is another good reason to have a controlled feature. I choose what forums become my new posts.

I was seeking in best interest for everyone. Now everyone complaining/debating about religion more than anything else. Some want to shut down, some want to keep it running. :hmm:

Can I suggest to have option of block certain thread in specific forum sections. That way everyone can be happy to express their feelings. Not have to debates all the time about various things. I can read all thread as i wishes. And look for specific thread that interest me.

Also I am not fully familiar with all tools on alldeaf. However, trying to think of new idea where everyone can benefits. Tags specific words that you don't want it to appear on your new post section.

Deafread already offering the feature of what blog I do want to watch and what blog i want not to watch.

I want to exercise the same freedom with this forum. That way everyone can express their true feelings.
