How many members are on Alldeaf?

This I would like to know how many actual members do we have on Alldeaf.

I can see the regulars on.

and really do other people look at our postings.

Why do the people that look on our postings do not join Alldeaf?

Can anyone answer me on that?

From what I can see on the bottom, it shows that there are 56,909 AD members. Guest can look at postings without joining. Why? They are lurkers. Sometimes it takes time for people to join after lurking for awhile. Some don't want to.

It took me a while of looking into post and such here bfore i decided to join.

Because we are like a zoo for lots of hearing people. They can look on at our antics, but we present too much danger for many of them to try direct interaction.

Think of us as a pit of tigers.
 
AD has really good search engines. Many times I will search for a topic on google and it will send me right to AD. Hubby was researching about me and jury duty and it went right to AD. It is a good place to get information.
 
I'm guessing too...a lot of joiners read the threads and don't know how to respond to them....I was like that....:giggle:...very clumsy at the beginning...thinking I might make a stupid post or something....and I was sensitive too...

Feel some, their English might not be too good also....

When I first came on Alldeaf I was looking at posts but did not know how to answer.

I was stupid I guess for a young person.

I do think all your posts are great and educational too .

You have helped me with my hearing in which I do not have anymore.

I have looked at many a post and try to put things on to help people some of them are long I agree but you must get the right information to people so they can understand.

The computer is a thing of knowledge for all people it can also get you into trouble by not saying the right things I see.

I forgot hearing people also come on line at Alldeaf too.

I was going to put my e-mail on line but I thought otherwise LOL

Anyone who Googles deaf ferrets learning ASL will be led here. That's how this forum became popular.

Many are registered spammer/scammers that are long gone here. People come and go so there's no way to figure exact active members who comes here frequently.

I know of 4 of them, but there may or may not be more. That, and Alex. The ones I am aware of are based not just in the US, but all over. There's one in another country. Two are here in the US (I think), but not sure. The 4th I am not sure about.

Well, a moderator can't have favorite members and support certain people. They are supposed to be impartial, and remain neutral, as I discovered from one of the previous threads on here talking about that.
