Check out the Old Time Candy

http://www.oldtimecandy.com/

Oh my gawd, I remember I ate that Marathon Bar (Curly Wurly), I ate those when I was a little kid, they're really good. Oh my gawd I found this.

Marathon Bar - Candy you ate as a kid®

The Marathon Bar was a full eight inches of braided caramel covered in milk chocolate. Mars introduced it in 1973 and thanks to its bright-red package and extra long size, it stood out among the competition. Inch markings printed on the wrapper showed just how long it actually was.

The length was the result of its braided shape but it didn't actually weigh more than standard candy bars of the time. When sales didn't meet expectations in 1981, Mars discontinued it.

We at the Old Time Candy Company were disappointed too... but, we are happy that we discovered the Curly Wurly made by Cadbury. Cadbury is located in England and one of the largest candy makers in the world. They are better know in Europe than in the US and the taste of their chocolate is nothing short of outstanding.

We have to import them form England which means they are a little "pricey" but you will not be disappointed. It is a top seller and we have many repeat buyers. It also one of our personal favorites.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Testimonial... I just received my candy today and I want to thank you! I especially enjoyed the Curly Wurly candy bars. They were just like the Marathon candy bars I remembered. I hope to do business with you for many years to come. Thanks again... David

Testimonial... When I was much younger, I remember Marathon bars and believe me I was addicted to them and then they just stopped making them. Jumping ahead to now a days, I was talking to a friend of mine from England via chat rooms and they told me about a candy bar called "Curly Wurly" the more they described, the more I started drooling. I found your website and there they were, I ordered 2 hoping and preying, I got my order yesterday and I was in absolute bliss, thank you for this great site and trust me I'm going to be ordering more Curly Wurly's amongst other candies. Thanks again Steven

I thought I saw one at the Quick Trip store some time ago. I buy them sometime for my snack. I have forgotten about it. I could check it out if it's still there

Maybe if the candy maker would give Whatchamncallit a whole new facelift, people will start noticing the candy product. The current one looks rather plain. I haven't eaten one in ages.
