Saw the trailer a couple of times on tv...long story short, it was a huge letdown for me. I declare now that it will be a box office disappointment. :doh:

I don't even have money to buy all of movies and most movie theater aren't deaf friendly, isn't that the point of rental?

I love watching movies, both good and bad. What's the worst movie you've seen?

Mine is definitely Soul Survivor. I couldn't even tell you what the plot was, because it made no damn sense.

Any of you ever read "Buck Godot" comics?

I bought a comic book years ago when I was in high school. It was at a used book sale at my high school. When I read it, I enjoyed it.

Years went by and I forgot about it until I suddenly remembered it when I was watching Buck Rogers on DVD.

So, I looked it up... there's an online comic for "Buck Godot".

:shock: I am having a good laugh at this! :lol: I know there are regional variencies and I know baby sign is a bit different but really? Teaching an adult to sign change for needing to go to the bathroom? :giggle:

When I think of an adult signing change in regards to the bathroom I think of them first saying: 'You scared the s**t out of me!, now need to go change.'

Anyone use this? Please correct me if I am wrong but I have never seen it used like this before!

I learn there is new incoming low-budget film which it's about deaf Boston robber and fixed horserace. So, it's deaf mob which is seem interesting. Have to see what's up.

Hiring Hearing or Sighted Actors/Actress for Deaf or Blind Roles

I was discussing this with my friend today about how Broadway hired a high profile actress to play the role of Helen Keller because the investors and producers needed a household name to generate profits. The argument is that the actor/acrtress really do not know what it is like to be deaf or blind so are they as capable of making the audience feel the character's experiences as a deaf or blind person as an actual deaf or blind performer? In my opinion, I dont think they do and I think any effort should be made to give these kinds of role to actual deaf or blind performers who are just as talented as those big name performers. It seem like the role or the creative aspect of the story is compromised for the sake of big money.

What do you think?
