Hello everybody. this is actually my first post. I hope I don't get flamed for not posting in the "introduce yourself" forum first. :)

My brother is deaf and he also has cerebral palsy. The CP makes it very difficult for him to use a phone to text and what not. He does, though... and all the time. Sometimes it takes him 15 minutes just to get a sentence out on it.
The U.S. state he lives in was gracious enough to help him get a phone with awesome texting/emailing capabilities, but they don't take into account that he has very reduced mobile control over his hands and fingers. i.e. the little keyboard on the phone is very difficult for him to use.

He does go to the library where he lives and does a lot of email there, because doing it on his phone takes so long. He's pretty good on a regular keyboard since the keys are much larger.

So here's my question... I want to get him a regular sized computer keyboard (maybe even one with larger keys than normal) that he can hook into his cell phone to type.
I would just get him a computer and an internet connection, but I can't afford it and neither can he. :( Besides that, it would be so cool that he could take the keyboard with him to use while he's out and about.

Is it possible to do this with a phone and a computer keyboard? Can you somehow connect the two?

I'm sorry. I just love him so much and I want him to be happy. I know something like this would really make him happy.

Can anybody help me?

He emailed me earlier and said it was a brand new "EPIC" with Sprint. I don't know what EPIC stands for. ??
I asked him for model and stuff, but he wasn't sure. I'll email him back and tell him to look again.

Sorry.. I think he's about as technically challenged as I am.. I know next to nothing about cell phones. I can barely use the one I have.
