Automatically convert voicemail to text!

Hi,

I found a great service that converts voicemail to text:
http://www.dictomail.com

I just tested it and I am signing up for their service. It's great for me as a business, since people can now leave me voicemail and they get converted to pages. No need to give complex relay instructions to hearing customers of my own business.

It's great-- and will work with nearly ANY device that accepts some form of text. (email, SMS, hiptop, sidekick, pager, pager watch, desktop, wireless, cellphone, blackberry, TREO, PocketPC, Palm, Smartphone, etc)

I am glad I can now choose any wireless service (I don't need to limit myself to services that have alphanumeric dispatch). Finally I can get third-party wireless TDD service, third-party wireless "dispatch" style service, third party voice-to-text, third party text-to-voice .... so I don't need to limit myself to a specific wireless service.

I doubt it's very accurate. That kind of technology is still years away from being perfected... and I doubt it will ever be perfected.

See, the thing is that you don't even need to do that -- One relay company offers VRSMail, in which you give out the 800 number and your free personal extension number, and hearing people can call the number and leave a video message. The advantage is that if you have VRS and are online, the number directly connects to you and you can take the conversation like a normal interpreted call.

That relay company is Sprint, and the relay service is shown here: https://www.sprintvrs.com/contacts/loginx.asp
