Apple’s On iPhone Worm: Don’t Jailbreak
Following reports of a new worm that could impact some jailbroken iPhones, Apple offered up a response: hacking your iPhone is a bad idea. Jailbreaking is a process where users apply software hacks to their iPhone or iPod touch to allow the installation of applications that aren't available through Apple's iTunes-based App Store. The most recent threat works only on iPhones that have been hacked to support unauthorized third-party applications, have SSH installed, and are still using the default root password. The worm spreads between iPhones that are on the same Wi-Fi network, and targets ING Bank Web site users in the Netherlands. "As we've said before, the vast majority of customers do not jailbreak their iPhones, and for good reason," Apple spokesperson Natalie Harrison told The Loop. "These hacks not only violate the warranty, they will also cause the iPhone to become unstable and not work reliably." Apple may not have come right out and said hacking an iPhone to run software that isn't available through its App Store is a bad idea, other security companies have. "We would like to stress that users who jailbreak their iPhones are exposing themselves to known vulnerabilities that are being exploited by code that is circulating in the wild," Intego said after an attack that could let a hacker download iPhone user data surfaced. "While the number of iPhones attacked may be minimal, the amount of personal data that can be compromised strongly suggests that iPhone users should stick with their stock configuration and not jailbreak their devices." Apple didn't say whether or not it is working on ways to improve security for jailbroken iPhones, but since the company considers the hacks unauthorized, it's likely those users could find themselves on their own. Fring Adds Video Calling to iPhone. but iPhone's camera is on the rear of the device, only one-way incoming video calls are possible, although the application will support two-way video calling if the iPhone and iPod touch gain front-facing cameras in the future.
Amazing! I hope that next generation Iphone will include front-facing camera next year or so. I already download it in my Iphone. I have member of Skype. If you have member of it, contact me in PM for testing video calls. MacRumors iPhone Blog: Fring Adds Video Calling to iPhone |

#2 -> Cracked and update to Firmware 3.1.2 #3 -> I do that same thing bored, on iPhone ===> Warning For Your Own Risk < ==== Jailbreaking is distinct from SIM unlocking, which is the process by which a mobile device is made compatible with telephone networks with which it was not specifically licensed to be used. Jailbreaking, while not illegal, gives a user the option to install cracked (pirated,) apps, which is illegal. If you do that below == Jailbreaking voids Apple's warranty on the device. == The Illegal Pirated Software will your Trouble! ============================ I have better Developers at iPhone Unlocking & cant say anything Because Ruined my Best.. => But Deafscooter Dont want Trouble on Pirated! You should Buy Real Original Software to installing into Fully License Software to Using in your Phone That is it ..... Then Also =>

Foxrac didn't removed your posts... I removed it and for that, your posts weren't related to iphone as you went offtopic because you mentioned about the cellphone you use that isn't an iphone. Anyway I'm a female, not a "guy's" in a part that you edited the word. Yeah, I am thinking the same thing, Foxrac.

Cell Phones and Relay Telephone Services
I understand that you can do make (voice carry over) VCO calls with the iphone 3Gs without attaching it to a TTY. It is done through WebCapTel On the Go, or other Internet based Relay services such as Sprint IP, i711, Sorenson's Relay, etc.
Does the DROID by Motorola allow you to do VCO Relay calls without attaching to a TTY? If so, how does it work? Thank you! Bari |

iPhone/iPod Touch Software 3.1.3 now out
Apple has upgraded the iPhone and iPod Touch software to version 3.1.3 which includes the following changes: Improved accuracy of reported battery level on the iPhone 3GS Resolves issue where third-party apps would not launch in some cases Fixes a bug which may cause an app to crash when using the Japanese Kana keyboard. The software update is compatible with all versions of the iPhone and iPod Touch and is available now through iTunes. Warning! If you have jailbreaking iphone, DO NOT UPGRADE IT NOW!!! |

OK, I scanned the thread up to page 24 and I haven't found an answer to what I am wondering. I am going to get a new phone. I have been using an HTC for a few years - it's ok but now broken. I thought I would get an iphone - but I understand it is not hearing aid compatible. I am disappointed - but wondering if anyone has bought one that they use for voice calls and how is the sound volume and clarity?
I was also thinking of the Blackberry Bold. Anyone here have any experience of either of these? |
