Opera Mini issue on BB 8330
Do you have experience on any issue for Opera Mini?
I do have issue with that, I installed Opera Mini 4.1 and tried press "menu" then won't display so properly, just invisible and bad code, I'm not realized that Opera website said Verizon BB isn't supported due BREW enabled phone, I need find to disable on BREW or install fresh non-Verizon RIM OS. http://www.operamini.com/download/wa...ry_8300_curve/ Quote:

Woot, I found OS 4.5 for 8330, no help needed.
Download OS 4.5.0.77 unofficially for 8830 & 8330*|*BlackBerry Sync | get in sync with the latest BlackBerry news I'm installing OS 4.5 right now, soon to be finish. I hopefully Opera Mini 4.1 will work so great with OS 4.5.

Opera Mini works fine on my Sprint BB Curve 8330 with OS 4.3.0.127 . Thanks for the 4.5 link so I can try out. I downloaded the OS 4.5 for 8330. I have to back up my old OS first then try 4.5.

I finally installed BB OS 4.5 and surprisly took me at least 30 min to install. I read it would take an hour to install. I noticed that most apps and getting around bb curve is faster. I'm seeing some new features and 'face'
Theme in Options finally show pix of theme readily without delay. It used to be slow pop up pix when I had to highlight on it and wait few second. Mmmphh that's really impressive! One biggest impression I got is GPS loads really fast that it detects satellite in matter of 5 to 10 seconds. That's HUGE difference on OS 4.3.0.127 that took me 30 seconds or bit longer to detect. Now I'm a happy camper!!!! Video camera pix noticeably bigger. Opera browser seem to load faster. Same thing to BB browser. I heard BB OS 4.5 shuld have HTML email but when I checked, still the same. I want HTML email format!!!! Grrr!! I planned to clean up some software I don't need by using Maxmem3. Is Document To Go and Slideshow to Go... Free ?? (New addition to OS4.5) Just curious. Catty |

I seriously saw "Crossbar" theme that Icons scroll across the screen than up and down. it's nice! only $6. It's in Bplay tho.
I'm downloading Ubuntu Hardy Heron and Glass (transparency) theme for my Curve ![]() I did download OSX (apple like) theme for Curve and while on Zen setting, The Icons across the bottom screen does bounces up and down when moving trackball on each one of them. Cute! I didn't use it cuz It's a dock with Ocean theme. I didn't want it. I wish I could make my own theme with that bouncing icons. I downloaded it free from Pinstack.com Catty |

I have iphone Zen, bBerry Zen, Ubuntu Today, Glass1. My favorite is 9Berry Zen, looked sexy and modern. My co worker thought I have very up to date BB Curve. I told them no, It's just the theme I downloaded.

I am planning to upgrade my wife's 8830 to OS 4.5 cuz her BB OS 4.2 is really crappy. "1XEV" signal tend to drop out to "1X" if you tried to hit back button on BB browser few times. Happen lot of time when I was using her BB 8830 last July during vacation.. Had to turn off and on the Signal in order to restore "1XEV".
My Curve doesn't drop out even how many time I hit back button on BB browser. Opera browser doesn't cause any problem either. Catty |

I just upgraded my wife's BB 8830 and now it's running better and smooth just like my Curve. I recently got my first HTML email on my Curve!! It is soo nice and refreshing to have graphical Email than plain text one!!!
Opera mini still runs fine on BB OS 4.5. Hey as I mentioned that I planned to use Maxmem3 to clean out craps from BB. I advice u not to use it. It can cause problem with newer theme and some apps on BB. Luckily, I restore it using up to date Desktop Manager 4.5 came with BBOS 4.5. My curve runs fine again after that. So just let u know. If ur internal memory becoming smaller and smaller regardless u tried to clean up (even u didn't add any applications or games ect..) Just take out and reinsert battery to do a hard reset. Ur BB will restore maximum free space. Catty |

Honestly, I have no experince about opera mini with my BB since 2007.. because Its not my style.. If apple offer the safari broswer for mobile phone in public. I would dl it on my bb instead of Opera mini. anyway I stick to BB's browser for GOOD.
