Those who own Smartphone or PDA with Windows Mobile probably know that when phone ring or new SMS txt arrives, it will wake the phone up and vibrate and light up LCD display on phone.

But when new email arrive. phone only vibrate and does not wake up so no LCD light.

I always wanted phone to light up and wake up when get new email so it will be visually alert me easy if I put the phone on my desk or table etc.

I been searching and searching and finally found software that does it. It WatchFlag - Watchflag - software for Windows Mobile Smartphones to provide email and text message ringtones and custom alerts when new messages arrive. and you can set it to wake up your phone on anything incoming email or sms txt and you can set how long many second to vibrate up to 10 second long.

Long vibrate timer is nice because you can set it like for 10 second long and reduce the chance of missing it when it in your heavy coat pocket.

Also it have repeat alert so if you walk away to bathroom or etc and missed light up LCD then it will repeat again from 30 second to 60 minutes depend what you chose.

I choose to have it repeat every 15 minutes so it doesn't drain the battery quickly.

There a 2 week trial and give a try and see. Ask here if you need assist setting it up or got more question.

No you have to use Tilt notificiation for AIM, MSN spam but I did email to programmer and ask if he would add it in future version. He said he would try add it in future version.

When you try Watchflag be sure to turn off tilt notification for sms and email if your going to use watchflag instead.

Also to set up watchflag for everything

Go to Setting -> Rules

Menu -> New

name : (can be anything but I put in catchall)
From : (leave blank and it will accept from anyone)
subject : (same above leave blank)

Next

Choose what option you want Light up screen repeat alert vibrate etc

Next

Accounts: (leave all boxes blank and it will alert on everything)

Save

Done

Then Settings -> Options

You can choose how long to vibrate and how often to repeat and led on or off etc.

Remember short minute repeat will more faster drain battery .. I use 15 minute repeat myself.

I will wait to listen soon about new JiveTalk WinMo 6.
I hope that they could customizable sound, vibrate & LED setting.

BeeJive :: JiveTalk mobile messenger - instant messaging to go

Oh cool I will keep eye on JiveTalk when they release it for WM, I will be curious to try it out.

Right now I am using IM+ and they do work on vibrate and led too by using same WM notificator setup in Setting.

IM+ work good for me but I always like trying new stuffs.
