YouTube.com on mobile

does anyone try that youtube.com on your mobile ? - http://m.youtube.com

if you have pda only with wm5 + up and it doesnt work, you can download it from freewareppc.com - FreewarePPC.com - Freeware Pocket PC / Freeware Windows Mobile: TCPMP Plugin for Flash Video v0.3

so after loading that, you should be able to see these videos from m.youtube.com

enjoy viewing !

Thanks.

Funny thing, I read your topic then I am going to type down at Treo and Sam texted me "Have you use http://m.youtube.com? It's pretty smooth on Treo."

Yeah. It's pretty quick loading and smooth. It's work great for Palm.

btw Treo work right away and don't need to install software.

DeafClimb, Rumor has it that when the new 4.2 OS is released for the 8700 it will have a media player. Watch for it in the upcoming months. I, personally, haven't seen it so can't offer much more info.

EDIT: I found clip from youtube:
QuickPlayer on 8700s

QuickPlayer for BlackBerry

yes, that is right that youtube uses 3gp the format for the mobile, but does bb accept a flash player ? youtube requires the flash player.

[QUOTE=XBGMER;792674]DeafClimb, I correct you. Yes Curve had media player in-built. I don't think so Curve will capable with this.. but I might be wrong.

Actually BB can run video from Youtube. You will have to install software that allow you to save Youtube video in BB device from your pc. I saved software information in "My Favorite" file. It's not in my lappy and I didn't want to go downstair to use my pc (lazy me). I found it at CrackBerry.com – The #1 Site for BlackBerry Users & Abusers site. Also there's another site that allow you to download and watch youtube on your BB. here's the site kid doofus: watching YouTube videos on your blackberry | BlackBerry Cool

Also BlackBerryInsight » Watch YouTube Videos on your BlackBerry

YOu'll have to google search for it.

I BELIEVE that Curve WILL be able to run video too. It's nice to have extended memory that you can keep adding more and watch video.

AS for DVD. There is a software called Pocket DVD Wizard : DVD to Pocket PC, Palm, iPod, PSP and more...

This allow you to copy dvd movies and covert it to smaller format to fit your mobile device. It must have flash memory stick to use. I downloaded cracked version but didn't work for me. I tried to use it but the serial wasn't correct. I don't have P2P yet but will soon. I want to try out before I purchase it. If it works fine then I could recommend. I was planning on using it on my old laptop to watch video thru thumbdrive. LOL.

yes, it's not even flash player format. 3GP is similar to MPEG4, I'm surprise, it's much smooth than 3gp on nokia, I had.

When I was trying to play youtube mobile clips and it opened Windows Media player and said invalid file. I tried downloading that plug in but it's not working properly. I will fix it later. I have gotten desktop youtube website's movie clips working on my phone but it runs very slow, I got it on Opera Mobile. I guess the processor can't handle that much load.

On the 8525 it try to open RealPlayer that probably why it say file format not supported so I am trying to figure out how to change file assiocation in IE to Windows Media instead of Real Player.

Anyone know how?

oh.. there is only one video player application that accepts 3gp file association.

go to get TCPMP(tcpmp.pocketpc.0.72RC1.cab)
for Window Mobile CAB
TCPMP

good luck

deafclimber, I downloaded it and installed it. internet exploder still opens it with windows media player. I couldn't find the settings to make the web browser open a specific media player or the media player to open when I click the link of a streaming video.

open TCPMP
go to SETTING > SELECT PAGES > FILE ASSOCIATION > then mark a check on box of MPEG4 that comes with 3gp.

good luck...

that is strange. ok i ll look for a solution. some websites are blocked on my pc at work so i may find a solution at home later tonight.

3gp is accepted to any 3G mobiles only because streaming the video require the high speed to run smoothly.
