a rumor came at my corner.... sk3 will come out before christmas. i dont know if it is true or not. i found the statement that was made by tmobile employee in a blog website. plus last nite my deaf friend told me that she was told by a saleman at tmobile retail store that sk3 will come out sometimes in nov 2005. she said everyone should receive emails asap from tmobile that they ll offer every sidekick owner those new sk3 with the rebate and blah blah... before sk3 will be released in public.

keep eyeing on tmobile's emails... i hope it is a fact.

Those are the same pictures of the "prototype SK3" we've seen all over the 'net. Do you have anything real to add?

Prototype? I don't think so. A prototype would not be as complete as this with t-mobile's brand on it and everything.

I think, it is hoax since Tmobil has been not annoucement SK3 yet. I preferred to wait for the confirm with tmobil. I still have sk1 for one and half years. I have no problem with sk 1 so far.

I have not received any email from tmobil. Hope, they will offer us a free like we did sk 1

rumor said that Sidekick will release in early 2007. Maybe 2008. In case... keep buy Sidekick2! And I will hate more to people who use sidekick. :]

Oh yeah, it was weird that I show off my nokia, girl think it's cute and sexy since it's small and have magic QWERTY appear when flip out.

Prototypes are SUPPOSED to have ANYTHING and EVERYTHING on them. That includes the logos, buttons, colors, and anything else to make a MOCK UP of what the final product may look like. How else do you know if it'll look good?

You can see that the device isn't even turned on or working. If it was a final build, it would obviously have power, something on the screen, graphics.

I doubt that it will release in 2007 or 2008. I heard, alot of people are complained about sk2 is suck !!!! It is breaking very easily than sk 1

There is no such Sidekick3 coming up in the U.S. Just a crap rumor or mistaking the look-like hand-held type but actually designed and sell for the europeans and asians but not in the U.S. So the sidekick2 is still the latest of its type for now. Sorry.

There is no Sidekick 3 coming out in the near future. Until you see an official announcement from T-Mobile, there is no Sidekick 3. If you want a Sidekick, get the Sidekick 2. Ignore the rumors of Sidekick 3's.

If Sidekick III doesn't come with EDGE, bluetooth and connect to computer. Then it would still OUTDATE. So embarrass, it will.

I doubt there will be sidekick 3 comes out sooner. Since the Tmobile has made 2 of the edition sidekick 2 (pink and black) which they're cost too much money. So stick with the sidekick 2 for a while til if we see the sidekick 3 comes out to the store.

Otherwise there another nice cell phone called THE V. I know the verizon wireless do those services on The V. The V has keyboard flip phone with camera email text message.

This picture is real but not Sidekick III. This device is under different name and will be released in Asia counities soon. It is PocketPC based OS. We will not expect to see this model in the USA this year. We do not know if this company will market to US next year. Someone created a page at http://www.freewebs.com/sidekick3/index.htm is hoax We already reported this hoax to T-Mobile.

There is NO official words about Sidekick III from either T-Mobile or Danger this time. We beleive.... no Sidekick III will be released this year.

5. Letter to Deaf Community from employee of T-Mobile USA

Hello everyone,

Have you received a forwarded email with a picture of a very cool looking device which the email claims to be a Sidekick 3? I've gotten plenty of these the last few days. At first, I thought this was a Sidekick 3 as
well.

So I did some research and here's what I figured out.Last week, it was announced that a new Microsoft PDA phone would be released for T-Mobile Germany this summer. It's style resembles that of the
Sidekick.

Just so there's no confusion, this is definitely not the T-Mobile Sidekick 3 (or any Sidekick device). This is the MDA IV. MDA is a product lineup of Microsoft smart phones sold in Europe. At this time, there is no word of a Sidekick 3 release. My guess is the earliest we would see a new Sidekick would be early 2006.

T-Mobile USA will not carry the MDA IV. It's network standards are designed with European technology in mind. It's possible a similar version could be designed for us. If it does I will be sure to publish an update.

I believe it was a news article written in the United Kingdom that sparked much of the confusion. The link for the article is below. Notice how the title of the article might imply the device was a 'Sidekick 3.' I think I might write a letter to the editor
