no.

the # before and after the number tell the network that it's not a normal call, but a special network function. there's a LOT of various ones you can use...there's one that'll even reset your voice mail password to the deafault last 4 digits of your number.

I also might want to add that i myself am a prepaid user, #225# is a contract account feature code, as is resulted by the error "The feature is not available for your account status"

However, there is a prepaid balance display (yes tracfone, yours is annoying and always on but you're not the only one with a display), just dial #999# and it will display your prepaid balance.

As i said, the # before and after tell the GSM network it's a request and not a phone call. You don't get charged for dialing it...it also doesn't seem to work unless you have full GPRS.

New Tmail? You mean, you want to change your Sidekick email address? Call customer service and make the request there... it's not something you can do on your own.

Why 2 months? Didn't they send you a replacement?

They won't -- until the phone has been sent to repairs three times before being entitled for a full replacement... These days..

Cool, have fun with your Hiptop Slide, Jake! Which one (purple or red) did you get? I believe T-Mobile (USA) has discontinued its Sidekick Slide line. I guess they decided to drop that and add two newer Sidekicks.

and I remember that these first versions of the Sidekick slides has to be recalled due to the trouble they have caused. Lucky enough, I was aware of it and bought the red one and it has no trouble at all and very much in love with it

I didn't mean to ask but why isn't this a new thread been created for Sidekick-related problems?

I've been following the thread and it's about tricks and tips for using Sidekick... *sigh*

They sell a sidekick cellphone's add-on stuffs ie; skins, snap-on covers and etc..

Snap-on cover help not getting voided warranty and voided insurance policy I recommend to get snap-on cover. If your sidekick cellphone broke then you can remove the snap-on cover and send off to the repair center.

You make it sound as if the Slide is only available in two colors, red and purple. Mine is black.

Both of the Slide models are black, but the purple and red parts are where the keyboards are.

It's probably a temporary thing. Even the computer will sometimes have AIM connectivity issues.

If it's not AIM, it could be your Sidekick. Rebooting it also helps if that's the problem.
