How do I communicate with credit card company?

I am new here. I meant to introduce myself, but I have a crisis so there's no time.

My credit card company froze my card because of some sort of fraud alert. I don't know whether it's really fraud or not, but they want me to call them. I have been gradually losing my hearing, and it's to the point where I can't really talk on the phone anymore (especially with accents or ambient noise, and credit card companies are the worst for that). I tried calling them and couldn't understand a word.

I contacted them via the secure messaging system, but they say they can only help my via phone. They gave me the TDD number, but I don't have a TTD unit. One of them said I could use my cell phone for this, but I have no idea how.

I tried using a relay service (IP Relay) and they hung up on me 20 times in a row. TWENTY TIMES! I'm near tears and I am beyond frustrated and I don't know what to do. I don't have another adult around to help me call them, and I need my credit card to be working because it's the only one I have and I use it to buy food, gas, etc.

Help! How do I use my cellphone to call a TDD line? (It's an iPhone if that matters)

I wish there were a book you could buy when you lose your hearing that tells you how to function. I don't know what I'm doing and I don't know who to ask.

The person that told you that you can use your cell phone as a TDD probably never tried it and is just going by their being an item in the phone's menu. That is just to set the phone so that you can attach some models of TDDs to that phone.

Is your credit card through a bank? If so, is there a branch of that bank close enough to go into the branch in person and see if a staff member there would be willing to help you contact the credit card section?

The credit card is through a bank, but not one that has branches in my part of the country.

I will check out the captioning apps...I saw those in the App Store a while back, but I didn't think they would actually work. Worth a try though!

Here is a repost of much of what I posted in another thread.
I am currently using Hamilton's mobile app with a low end Android phone that is on Pure Talk (an AT&T MVNO). But it works with virtually any phone/provider combination that will give you simultaneous voice and data.

Please throughly read the information on their site: Hamilton CapTel: Smartphone: Apps for Smartphones? The use of a headset that they refer to just comes in handy to know when the other person stops talking after their greeting at the start of the conversation so that you can say something to keep them from hanging up while you are reading the rest of their greeting. You do not have to understand what they are saying.

The other version of CapTel for mobile phones is by Sprint but runs on any network that is fast enough. "The Wireless CapTel by Sprint app requires a network connection with high enough bandwidth and low enough latency to reliably process a voice-over-IP call. It is highly recommended that use of this app be done in conjunction with connection through a 4G or Wi-Fi network. Attempting to use a 3G connection is not recommended." When it first came out they said it worked on a 3G network. What I then found was that the voice of the person using the app cut in and out badly. There is a lot of detail available at their site Wireless CapTel by Sprint | Sprint CapTel

Also, you might want to explore these sites for their versions of Web Captel that uses a combination of your computer and phone. The phone can be a cell phone or a landline phone.

I don't think she has enough posts for PM and you left no other contact information. What I get when I Google "NextTalk, Inc" isn't very clear?
