Jr. League makes over rooms at the MS school for the deaf - WLBT 3 - Jackson, MS:
There was a special unveiling at the Mississippi School for the Deaf Sunday night.
As part of its summer community projects, the Junior League of Jackson renovated the bedrooms in the elementary girls' dorm.
They painted colorful murals, replaced mattresses and purchased all matching bed linens. They also made window dressings and bought new blinds.
The ladies spent countless hours to help make the rooms feel more like home.
"We have had just a beautiful job done by the Junior League of Jackson in renovating our elementary girls' dormitory in different themes for the little girls and in beautiful bright color of the older girls," said Sandra Edwards, superintendent of the Mississippi School for the Deaf.
The dorm makeover took about 2 months to complete. It was all done for the school for free.
