Deaf, blind students graduate in MT

Graduates celebrate at MT School for Deaf & Blind - Montana's News Station - Fair. Accurate. To the Point. -

Saturday was a special day for the nine graduating seniors at the Montana School for the Deaf and Blind in Great Falls.

The students performed "it's So Hard to Say Goodbye to Yesterday" by Boys II Men, and after a slide show presentation highlighting the nine seniors, they received their diplomas.

The students were honored by the school's guidance counselor and superintendent, Steve Gettel.

Gettel said, "...and so everyone here in the Mustang Center is here to honor your individual achieivements, and your collective achievements, and we are all very proud of you."

The MSDB Class of 2009 graduates are Nathan Decker of Helena, Samantha Ellis of Billings, Max Jiron of Missoula, Sarah Johnson of Great Falls, Robert Kindle of Malta, Melissa Lane of Forsyth, and Allen Nearhoof, Karyll Perkins, and Dana Smith of Great Falls.
