Training offered for interpreter for the deaf

Brick Township Bulletin - Training offered for interpreter for the deaf

The field of sign language interpreting is rapidly expanding. As a result, Ocean County College (OCC) is offering an Interpreter Training Program information session at noon May 10 in the Tech Lecture Hall, Technology Building, College Drive, Toms River.

Faculty and staff will discuss the requirements of OCC's Interpreter Training Program and will answer questions about entering the field. With increased career opportunities in various settings, interpreting jobs can be found in the areas of education, medicine, legal, mental health and many other venues.

For information, call Kathleen Basilotto (732) 255-0400, ext. 2256.
