Deaf woman sues NPR for employment discrimination

I have never been to Washington, D.C., so I am curious what is NPR stand for in relating to her internship? I read the comments and that is very upsetting that they are blaming the Deaf intern. They do not understand her perspective as a Deaf person from Gallaudet University. So Gallaudet University were caught off guard not knowing about the NPR reputation on luring the deaf people for interns for their own purpose of using them for their own means. They want them to be hearing, not accepting them to be deaf people. That is cruel. :(

Radio! Why in the world would a d/Deaf intern would want to work in the hearing office if it is radio? I am shocked at Gallaudet University as a Deaf college. Maybe they were being fooled too. I have never knew about this place like this, if that is correct for NPR as National Public Radio. Whoa. **shaking my head**
