PHILADELPHIA - To say that rapper Sean Forbes is passionate about his music would be an understatement as Forbes lives, breathes and feels the beat.
Some songs are upbeat and funny while others are very personal, such as the song "Don't Let Anything Hold You Back."
Forbes says many people told him he would never be able to record music because he is profoundly deaf. The 31-year-old says he lost his hearing as a baby after contracting spinal meningitis.
But Forbes' parents, who both are musicians, quickly realized he was drawn to music and that even though he couldn't hear it, he could feel the vibrations.
Forbes says getting a drum set at the age of 5 changed his life.

One poster got it right.. why is he a rapper despite being deaf, as if being deaf makes it harder to rap lol :)

At least he doesn't have to listen to that god awful repetitive beat and 100 guys with microphones rapping at once and cant make out 90% of the words. Is it gangsta style or old school?

Just a side note.... I hate Rap.
