No Rain - Blind Melon

All I can say is that my life is pretty plain,
I like watchin' the puddles gather rain.
And all I can do is just pour some tea for two
And speak my point of view but it's not sane.
It's not sane.
I just want someone to say to me, oh,
I'll always be there when you wake, yeah.
Ya know I'd like to keep my cheeks dry today.
So stay with me and I'll have it made.
And I don't understand why sleep all day
And I start to complain that there's no rain.
And all I can do is read a book to stay awake,
And it rips my life away but it's a great escape.
Escape, escape, escape.

All I can say is that my life is pretty plain,
Ya don't like my point of view,

Ya think that I'm insane.
It's not sane, it's not sane.

I just want someone to say to me, oh, oh, oh
I'll always be there when you wake, yeah.
Ya know I'd like to keep my cheeks dry today.
I really wanna really gonna have it made.
Oh. Oh. Oh.

Once upon a time men could speak honestly and wisely and people would listen. Now it seems that propaganda is the preferred method of communication regardless if there is any truth behind it or not.

I don't really listen to music with lyrics. I prefer music only or with little words.

I like Daft Punk. I have 3 of their CDs (Homework, Discovery, and Human After All). The next CD I plan on getting is the Tron: Legacy soundtrack.

An anime was made for Daft Punk's Discovery album. The entire movie follows the entire CD... with little sound effects. That anime is Interstella 5555.

I also some game sountrack CDs.

Same here. Lyric plays absolutely no role for me to enjoy music, it's all about beats. I'm deaf, I can hear when someone sings but I don't understand it at all and also I can't tell whether if this person have a good singing voice or bad. I watched Tron, it has a lot of awesome background music and it made Tron more enjoyable to watch. If you're deaf, when you watch movies, do you also listen? I used headphone to watch movies, mainly to listen to background music. Though it's kind of annoying to listen to dialogue, but I got used to it. I discovered a lot of good songs from movies.

I am learning how to liaten to music again. The only songs I can somewhat make out are by "Bad Company" I guess all the drumming helps. Vocals, can't understand, but I keep trying. Music can have such an amazing influence on your mood!!!

Most definitely, it's weird how sound can make you feel something. Are you learning to enjoy it after getting C.I. or something?

Yes, my CI was activated near the end of June. I had my daughter download some old familiar songs on my phone and those are the ones I am trying to hear.

For some reason, my head just started in with Grand Funk's "Locomotion". Remember roller skating to that.
