Oh Holy Night
O holy night, The stars are brightly shining; It is the night of Our dear Savior's birth! Long lay the world In sin and error pining, Till He appeared And the soul felt its worth. A thrill of hope, The weary world rejoices, For yonder breaks A new and glorious morn. Fall on your knees, O hear the angel voices! O night divine, O night when Christ was born! O night divine, O night, O night divine! Led by the light of Faith Serenely beaming, With glowing hearts By His cradle we stand. So led by light of a star Sweetly gleaming, Here came the wise men From Orient land. The King of Kings lay thus In lowly manger, In all our trials Born to be our Friend! He knows our need, To our weakness no stranger; Behold your King! Before the lowly bend! Behold your King! your King! Before Him bend. Truly He taught us To love one another; His law is love and His gospel is peace. Chains shall He break For the slave is our brother And in His name All oppression shall cease. Sweet hymns of joy in Grateful chorus raise we, Let all within us Praise His holy name! Christ is the Lord, Oh praise His name forever, His pow'r and glory evermore proclaim His pow'r and glory Evermore proclaim. "O Holy Night" is a well-known Christmas carol song composed by Adolphe Adam in 1847 to the French poem "Minuit, chrétiens" by Placide Cappeau, an accomplished amateur. :-) ![]()

Where Are You Christmas?
Where are you Christmas Why can't I find you Why have you gone away Where is the laughter You used to bring me Why can't I hear music play My world is changing I'm rearranging Does that mean Christmas changes too Where are you Christmas Do you remember The one you used to know I'm not the same one See what the time's done Is that why you have let me go Christmas is here everywhere, oh Christmas is here if you care, oh If there is love in your heart and your mind You will feel like Christmas all the time I feel you Christmas I know I've found you You never fade away The joy of Christmas Stays here in silence Fills each and every heart with love Where are you Christmas Fills your heart with love.

i like Christmas Shoes
It was almost Christmas time, There I stood in another line Tryin' to buy that last gift or two, Not really in the Christmas mood Standing right in front of me was A little boy waiting anxiously Pacing 'round like little boys do And in his hands he held a pair of shoes His clothes were worn and old, He was dirty from head to toe And when it came his time to pay I couldn't believe what I heard him say Sir, I want to buy these shoes For my Mama, please It's Christmas Eve and these shoes are just her size Could you hurry, sir, Daddy says there's not much time You see she's been sick for quite a while And I know these shoes would make her smile And I want her to look beautiful If Mama meets Jesus tonight He counted pennies for what seemed like years Then the cashier said, "Son, there's not enough here" He searched his pockets frantically Then he turned and he looked at me He said Mama made Christmas good at our house Though most years she just did without Tell me Sir, what am I going to do Somehow I've got to buy her these Christmas shoes So I laid the money down, I just had to help him out I'll never forget the look on his face when He said Mama's gonna look so great Sir, I want to buy these shoes for my Mama, please It's Christmas Eve and these shoes are just her size Could you hurry, sir, Daddy says there's not much time You see she's been sick for quite a while And I know these shoes would make her smile And I want her to look beautiful If Mama meets Jesus tonight I knew I'd caught a glimpse of heaven's love As he thanked me and ran out I knew that God had sent that little boy To remind me just what Christmas is all about. its so sad, and sweet. |

Mary's Boy Child / Oh My Lord
by Boney M Mary's boy child Jesus Christ, was born on Christmas Day. And man will live for evermore, because of Christmas Day. Long time ago in Bethlehem, so the Holy Bible say, Mary's boy child Jesus Christ, was born on Christmas Day. Hark, now hear the angels sing, a king was born today, And man will live for evermore, because of Christmas Day. Mary's boy child Jesus Christ, was born on Christmas Day. While shepherds watch their flocks by night, they see a bright new shining star, they hear a choir sing a song, the music seemed to come from afar. Hark, now hear the angels sing, a king was born today, And man will live for evermore, because of Christmas Day. Mmmmmm...... For a moment the world was aglow, all the bells rang out there were tears of joy and laughter, people shouted "let everyone know, there is hope for all to find peace". Now Joseph and his wife Mary came to Bethlehem that night they found no place to bear her child not a single room was in sight And then they found a little nook, in a stable all forlorn. And in a manger cold and dark, Mary's little boy was born. Hark, now hear the angels sing, a king was born today, And man will live for evermore, because of Christmas Day Mary's boy child, Jesus Christ, was born on Christmas Day. For a moment the world was aglow, all the bells rang out there were tears of joy and laughter, people shouted "let everyone know, there is hope for all to find peace". Oh my Lord, You sent your son to save us Oh my Lord, Your very self you gave us Oh my Lord, That sin may not enslave us And love may reign once more Oh my Lord, when in the crib they found Him Oh my Lord, A golden halo crowned Him Oh my Lord, They gathered all around Him To see him and adore (this day will live forever) Oh my Lord (so praise the Lord) with the child's adoration Oh my Lord (He is a personation) there came great jubilation Oh my Lord (so praise the Lord) and full of admiration they realized what they had (until the sun falls from the sky) Oh my Lord (so praise the Lord) they had begun to doubt you Oh my Lord (He is the truth forever) what did they know about you? Oh my Lord (so praise the Lord) but they were lost without You they needed You so bad (His light is shining on us) Oh my Lord (so praise the Lord) with the child's adoration Oh my Lord (He is a personation) there came great jubilation Oh my Lord (so praise the Lord) and full of admiration they realized what they had (until the sun falls from the sky) Oh my Lord (Oh praise the Lord) |

Jingle Bells
Dashing through the snow In a one horse open sleigh O'er the fields we go Laughing all the way Bells on bob tails ring Making spirits bright What fun it is to laugh and sing A sleighing song tonight Oh, jingle bells, jingle bells Jingle all the way Oh, what fun it is to ride In a one horse open sleigh Jingle bells, jingle bells Jingle all the way Oh, what fun it is to ride In a one horse open sleigh A day or two ago I thought I'd take a ride And soon Miss Fanny Bright Was seated by my side The horse was lean and lank Misfortune seemed his lot We got into a drifted bank And then we got upsot Oh, jingle bells, jingle bells Jingle all the way Oh, what fun it is to ride In a one horse open sleigh Jingle bells, jingle bells Jingle all the way Oh, what fun it is to ride In a one horse open sleigh yeah Jingle bells, jingle bells Jingle all the way Oh, what fun it is to ride In a one horse open sleigh Jingle bells, jingle bells Jingle all the way Oh, what fun it is to ride In a one horse open sleigh |

Band Aid - Do They Know it's Christmas It's Christmastime There's no need to be afraid At Christmastime, we let in light and we banish shade And in our world of plenty we can spread a smile of joy Throw your arms around the world at Christmastime But say a prayer Pray for the other ones At Christmastime it's hard, but when you're having fun There's a world outside your window And it's a world of dread and fear Where the only water flowing is the bitter sting of tears And the Christmas bells that ring there are the clanging chimes of doom Well tonight thank God it's them instead of you And there won't be snow in Africa this Christmastime The greatest gift they'll get this year is life (Oooh) Where nothing ever grows No rain nor rivers flow Do they know it's Christmastime at all? (Here's to you) raise a glass for everyone (Here's to them) underneath that burning sun Do they know it's Christmastime at all? Feed the world Feed the world Feed the world Let them know it's Christmastime again Feed the world Let them know it's Christmastime again repeat then fade

Imagine doing this in ASL!
I was dragged into doing this song in ASL and ever since then--I've always done it.My favorite Christmas song is this: On the first day of Christmas, my true love sent to me A partridge in a pear tree. On the second day of Christmas, my true love sent to me Two turtle doves, And a partridge in a pear tree. On the third day of Christmas, my true love sent to me Three French hens, Two turtle doves, And a partridge in a pear tree. On the fourth day of Christmas, my true love sent to me Four calling birds, Three French hens, Two turtle doves, And a partridge in a pear tree. On the fifth day of Christmas, my true love sent to me Five golden rings, Four calling birds, Three French hens, Two turtle doves, And a partridge in a pear tree. On the sixth day of Christmas, my true love sent to me Six geese a-laying, Five golden rings, Four calling birds, Three French hens, Two turtle doves, And a partridge in a pear tree. On the seventh day of Christmas, my true love sent to me Seven swans a-swimming, Six geese a-laying, Five golden rings, Four calling birds, Three French hens, Two turtle doves, And a partridge in a pear tree. On the eighth day of Christmas, my true love sent to me Eight maids a-milking, Seven swans a-swimming, Six geese a-laying, Five golden rings, Four calling birds, Three French hens, Two turtle doves, And a partridge in a pear tree. On the ninth day of Christmas, my true love sent to me Nine ladies dancing, Eight maids a-milking, Seven swans a-swimming, Six geese a-laying, Five golden rings, Four calling birds, Three French hens, Two turtle doves, And a partridge in a pear tree. On the tenth day of Christmas, my true love sent to me Ten lords a-leaping, Nine ladies dancing, Eight maids a-milking, Seven swans a-swimming, Six geese a-laying, Five golden rings, Four calling birds, Three French hens, Two turtle doves, And a partridge in a pear tree. On the eleventh day of Christmas, my true love sent to me Eleven pipers piping, Ten lords a-leaping, Nine ladies dancing, Eight maids a-milking, Seven swans a-swimming, Six geese a-laying, Five golden rings, Four calling birds, Three French hens, Two turtle doves, And a partridge in a pear tree. On the twelfth day of Christmas, my true love sent to me Twelve drummers drumming, Eleven pipers piping, Ten lords a-leaping, Nine ladies dancing, Eight maids a-milking, Seven swans a-swimming, Six geese a-laying, Five golden rings, Four calling birds, Three French hens, Two turtle doves, And a partridge in a pear tree! Anyway I collect anything related to this song for Christmas!

In Excelsis Gloria
When Christ was born of Mary free, In Bethlehem in that fair city, Angels sung e'er with mirth and glee, In excelsis gloria, In excelsis gloria, In excelsis gloria, In excelsis gloria. Herdsmen beheld these angels bright- To them appeared with great light, And said, "God's son is born this night." Refrain This King is come to save His kind, In the Scripture as we find; Therefore this song we have in mind: Refrain Then, dear Lord, for Thy great grace, Grant us the bliss to see Thy face, Where we may sing to Thy solace: Refrain

COMING HOME FOR CHRISTMAS LYRICS
Featuring Richie McDonald When I think of snow, I think of Christmas. When I think of you, I think of home. I know all these miles that come between us for a while will melt away. If I could make this plane go any faster, I’d be standing right outside your door. I can close my eyes and see that sweet look of surprise there on your face. It’s worth the wait Hang the mistletoe by the fire’s glow, put the angel on the tree. Light a candle in the window, just for me. I’ll bring you all my heart and soul, my love, my hugs and kisses. I’m coming home, I’m coming home for Christmas. Everywhere I go, it makes me miss you, cause everywhere I look, it’s red and green. Everybody celebrating only makes the waiting slow down the day. I’m on my way. Hang the mistletoe by the fire’s glow, put the angel on the tree. Light a candle in the window, just for me. I’ll bring you all my heart and soul, my love, my hugs and kisses. I’m coming home, I’m coming home for Christmas. Wanna hear all about all the things you’re doing and make up for lost time. Tell you what I’ve been through, laugh like we always do. God, I’ve been missing you. Hang the mistletoe by the fire’s glow, put the angel on the tree. Light a candle in the window, just for me. I’ll bring you all my heart and soul, my love, my hugs and kisses. I’m coming home. You won’t be alone. I’m coming home for Christmas.

Silent Night, Stille Nacht. I prefer the German version. Enya's is fantastic!! That's how I learned it as a child and still sing it that way. Since I can no longer hear, I don't sing anymore as I don't want to be off-key.

![]() Well, this reminds me of a song I have on one of my CDs, and my really really nice sister wrote the lyrics for me. It is from My Little Pony's Christmas album, Minty Christmas: On the first day of Christmas, I sent my friend, Minty A candy cane to top her purple tree. On the second day of Christmas, I sent my friend, Minty Two angels sweet And a candy cane to top her purple tree. On the third day of Christmas, I sent my friend, Minty Three pink bows, Two angels sweet, And a candy cane to top her purple tree. On the fourth day of Christmas, I sent my friend, Minty Four snowy flakes, Three Pink bows, Two angels sweet, And a candy cane to top her purple tree. On the fifth day of Christmas, I sent my friend, Minty Five golden stars, Four snowy flakes, Three pink bows, Two angels sweet, And a candy cane to top her purple tree. On the sixth day of Christmas, I sent my friend, Minty Six banners hanging, Five golden stars, Four snowy flakes, Three pink bows, Two angels sweet, And a candy cane to top her purple tree. On the seventh day of Christmas, I sent my friend, Minty Seven hearts a-shimmering, Six banners hanging, Five golden stars, Four snowy flakes, Three pink bows, Two angels sweet, And a candy cane to top her purple tree. On the eighth day of Christmas, I sent my friend, Minty Eight stars a-twinkling, Seven hearts a-shimmering, Six banners hanging, Five golden stars, Four snowy flakes, Three pink bows, Two angels sweet, And a candy cane to top her purple tree. On the ninth day of Christmas, I sent my friend, Minty Nine bells a-ringing, Eight stars a-twinkling, Seven hearts a-shimmering, Six banners hanging, Five golden stars, Four snowy flakes, Three pink bows, Two angels sweet, And a candy cane to top her purple tree. On the tenth day of Christmas, I sent my friend, Minty Ten mantle stockings, Nine bells a-ringing, Eight stars a-twinkling, Seven hearts a-shimmering, Six banners hanging, Five golden stars, Four snowy flakes, Three pink bows, Two angels sweet, And a candy cane to top her purple tree. On the eleventh day of Christmas, I sent my friend, Minty Eleven blue balls shining, Ten mantle stockings, Nine bells a-ringing, Eight stars a-twinkling, Seven hearts a-shimmering, Six banners hanging, Five golden stars, Four snowy flakes, Three pink bows, Two angels sweet, And a candy cane to top her purple tree. On the twelfth day of Christmas, I sent my friend, Minty Twelve lights a-blinking, Eleven blue balls shining, Ten mantle stockings, Nine bells a-ringing, Eight stars a-twinkling, Seven hearts a-shimmering, Six banners hanging, Five golden stars, Four snowy flakes, Three pink bows, Two angels sweet, And a candy cane to top her purple tree. And a candy cane to top her purple tree. |

Now for my own personal favourite Christmas song.
That's hard because I love Christmas music more than any other. But I think I've decided one. I looked up the lyrics online, but the music itself is my first love. It is called, "Somewhere in my Memory" from the movie soundtrack CD, "Home Alone Christmas" by John Williams. I listen to Christmas music a lot in the summer just in case it's the last time I'll ever hear it. I often can't hear music in the winter, but can in the summer. I don't know why. I never bothered to ask. Candles in the window, Shadows painting the ceiling, Gazing at the fire glow, Feeling that gingerbread feeling. Precious moments, Special people, Happy faces I can see. Somewhere in my memory, Christmas joys all around me. Living in my memory, All of the music, All of the magic, All of the family Home here with me. Somewhere in my memory, All of the music, All of the magic, All of the family Home here with me. |
