president hurwitz told that gallaudet must have 3000 students by 2015

I was in elstad auditorium...president hurwitz from gallaudet told that gallaudet must have 3000 students by 2014 by us congress.

I believe gallaudet will welcome hearing students get into...will use circulum course from yale.

80 percent of mainstream students at gallaudet...I was so happy.

I was in deaf school never help my english into college level

Good bye, deaf school.

It fact that gallaudet never interested in recurit deaf school unless request...

I know lots faculty look for students who got best english keep them progress...

You know that we lost our good faculty who retired...

Often, faculty has lot of work on english for students for many years.

I cannot get good faculty...

Faculty do not have time to work, only taught students to learn then give them degree.

How many times deaf people cannot find job or complain about job and life?

If they want get good education and work hard then do it get along with faculty

It means gallaudet find students who had achievement then gallaudet will give them good expectation then no problem with english then easy for get internship and job.

Often, I see posts from others about oppose bill for children, deaf school, deaf got job

The answer should be stable.

Matajan - that's same issue for Ivy League schools. If you want faculty to focus on students, then go to Haverford College. I have 2 friends who graduated from it.

Jiro,

Did you read other people's post thread or article about closing deaf school, oppose bill for request audiogram for deaf babies, deaf school has average fourth grade reading level, deaf cannot find a job, but strange, it is different from deaf has successful relationship with people where they go at school.

I was like sleeping after watching blog or thread about it happens.

if deaf school has high education and best, state will leave them alone.

anyways,

I wish i had friends from childhood school.

when i was toddler, met hearing friends to knew each other become best friends then make friend with other...make lots of hearing become equal to me, friends with me but it happens to me cuz i transfer to deaf school from mainstream.

i find that most friends who grew up from baby to senior in private school, never knew of public like, not understand what I am but seems weird, until they meet one person who is deaf then make me friends with them before senior.

do you have hearing childhood best friend who is there for you?

Jiro,

I never understand why parents sent children to private school in all life.

Are really parents aware of deaf students or culture whom had kids to private school?

I met lots of hearing friends never had public before.

once you're a parent, you can decide whether or not to send your kid to private school. every parent has a different reason.

Top Ten College Dropouts - BusinessWeek

Top Ten College Dropouts
Posted by: Louis Lavelle on September 16

Do you need a college degree to succeed? The “College On The Record” web site answers that question with a resounding “No!” Here’s its list—in David Letterman fashion, starting with No. 10—of drop-outs who made it really, really, really big. With a “B” as in billions. Add your own in the comments section.

10. YC Wang is not even a college drop out. Nope, he’s not a high school drop out either…he has an elementary school degree. He built Formosa Plastics into one of Asia’s largest petrochemical producers. $5.1 Billion.

9. David Geffen is dubbed the “richest man in Hollywood,” after co-founding DreamWorks with Steven Spielberg. Before that he made it big with Asylum Records and Geffen Records. He is also the owner of LA Times. $4.7 Billion, dropped out from University of Texas, Austin.

8. Stanley Ho is the “King of Gambling.” He made his money where others lose theirs, casinos. He is responsible for 1/3 of Macau’s GDP after dropping out of college. $7 Billion.

7. Donald Newhouse, along with his brother, Samuel, took over their father's newspaper/publication company, Advanced Publications. Together, they run publications such as The New Yorker and Vanity Fair. $7.3 Billion, dropped out of Syracuse University.

6. Jack Taylor dropped out of college because he had to serve in the Navy during WWII. He later founded Rent-a-Car instead of returning to college. $13.9 Billion, dropped out of Washington University.

5. Paul Allen is Bill Gates' right hand man. He teamed up with Gates, after dropping out of college, to start Microsoft. He owns both the Seattle Seahawks and the Portland Trailblazers. $18 Billion, dropped out of Washington State University.

4. Steve Jobs is the CEO of Apple. He dropped out of college after one semester and virtually ntroduced to us "iRevolution." $5.7 Billion, dropped out of Reed College, Oregon.

3. Michael Dell is the founder of the second largest computer company, Dell Computers. $15.8 Billion, dropped out of University of Texas, Austin.

2. Larry Ellison has been the head of Oracle Systems for over 30 years. He's also acquired over $19 billion worth of software companies. $21.5 Billion, dropped out of Illinois University.

1. Of course, Bill Gates is ranked number 1. After dropping out of one of the most prestigious colleges in the country, Gates founded Microsoft with his friend, Paul Allen. He received his honorary Bachelor's Degree when he spoke at Harvard's Class of 2007 Commencement, 30 years after dropping out. $56 Billion, dropped out of Harvard University.

Jiro,

I think god let students where will they go or make it first choice then find someone else in their happiest life, some of my friend made it first one then find someone.

In my dream, I met girl from yale in class but unspecific hearing status, know were match then get married.

But. I can't go yale....I pray god what should I do?

Some friends don't find someone at school.

Now I found one link is theivyconnection.com would help me find someone to be match if never go school

Is it logic that really how someone made it first choice knew they will find one.
