BERKELEY--Applications for Berkeley City College’s American Sign Language classes are being accepted now through Sept. 5. BCC fall classes begin Thur., Aug. 20.

Register online via Passport at Untitled Document (click on Enroll Now), or at Berkeley City College, 2050 Center St., between Shattuck Ave. & Milvia St., Berkeley. The college is located one-half block from the downtown Berkeley BART station and AC Transit lines. College admissions office hours are Mon. & Tue., 8 a.m.- 7 p.m.; and Wed. thru Fri., 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m.

Berkeley City College is part of the Peralta Community College District which serves the communities of Alameda, Albany, Berkeley, Emeryville, Oakland and Piedmont. The district also includes College of Alameda, Laney College and Merritt College. In addition to providing two-year programs that prepare students for long-term educational goals, Peralta also offers specialized life-long learning opportunities to Bay Area residents.
