I agree with her on all counts. Even the teaching program I took was well balanced. This one focuses on tooo much on the ears and the mouth not on the students as a whole. That's not the purpose of Deaf ed.

No wonder oral deaf ed teachers teach from a strong audist view and dont understand Deaf culture.

Good video, Shel. You and I both have said it over and over....a deaf child is more than their mouth and their ears.

That's why I'm glad that I'm doing the MSSE program at RIT because I believe that the program will be able to show you how to teach a deaf child in the proper way.
