Just tried and neither work. Both display cannot find server errors.

You might be having dns problems on your ISP's end. Try flushing your dns cache? (IIRC you are in IT, so I take it you know how to do it)

I just came off of a fresh reboot. It's not a DNS issue as the name is resolving. Just for kicks I cleared the cache but as expected I have the same results. The server is not responding. Maybe it's too busy. I'll keep trying

Edit: Sorry .. Server can not be found so it is not resolving either. Clearing DNS cache does not help.

Edit: I am not using a proxy. Direct conection to the internet and I'm not having problems getting to anything else that I try.

UPDATE: DNS is working for RIT - NTID - Raising and Educating a Deaf Child but HTTP is not.

Might have to wait it out on your end then

. Maybe it's ISP-end.
Tracert showed that the resolving IP is 209.249.222.18, which resolves as one of abovenet's servers (4).

Or try using another connection?

yeah you could be right. If the servers just came on line or were just registered it may take some time to propagate. However as mentioned in my above post I was able to resolve as the ping shows but I could not get a response via web browser. I will wait a bit more and try again.

ive read his book, its a fine book indeed. However, it is not easily applied to real life because the power of authority is the real issue roadblocking many good ideas which Marschark had discussed.
