Hi everyone,
i would like to learn the sign language and become a teacher or an interpreter.I did some researches, and i found out that the American sign language is not the same as the british sign language (which i must say i found really surprising because it is the same spoken english). As i plan to work in the USA, i would like to learn the ASL. And as a native french speaker i would like to learn the French sign language. I don't know no deaf people at all, nor family nor friends. i haven't got the ressources to go to the university or to take paying courses. So i come in here to find someone willing to help me out. If you have spare time or knows someone who does and could teach me ASL or FSL, please get back at me. Thank you, PS: how long does it usually take be able to communicate in sign language? |

I can probably help out a little, you can PM me any questions you like or you can e-mail me at anotequaltob@gmail.com
But it does take up to 7 years to be fluent in American Sign Language. It may be sped up a little by you accessing the Deaf community regularly though. Last edited by kyleb; 08-12-2008 at 09:47 AM. Reason: Add answer to question from OP |
