have you gone to high school reunion?

i haven't gone to high school reunion yet. i looked little bit different than back in high school.

a friend of mine told me what happened at the high school reunion.

she was surprised that guy who used to be handsome and popular even jerk. so after 10 yrs later and guess what he look like now? he got really fat and bald and not handsome anymore.

anyone experienced at high school reunion and who you saw and surprise. has the looks change or the same?

oh, by the way. i can't tell person's name (confidental).
a deaf person i met told me that in his mainstream high school, hearie guy who constantly made fun of him and other deaf people. in 5 yrs later, guess what? he realized that his child was born deaf. he regretted for what he did to deaf people in high school. he was mean person. and now looked at what happened to him with a deaf child of his own. (i dunno if it happens to hearie people who has a deaf child).

Anyways, I went to my high school reunion last summer. They usually host it every 5 years.

It was good to see some of my old friends.

Same here. My HS experience is one I'd rather forget, as are the people I went to school with. It's been 20 yrs or so since graduation, and they've held a couple reunions since then. I've not gone to a single one. I don't plan on going to any in the future, either.

i don't know if i want to go to high school reunion. cuz i'm not very close with those people i know in high school---> why cuz more hearie than you know Ddeaf/Hhoh. that's a mainstream school. there are like 10 or 12 Ddeaf/Hhoh (that's it). *no offensive cuz you're hearie*

I actually liked this better. That way, I'm comfortable with my peers.

Heh... unfortunately, there won't be anyone after 2003 or something. The school district decided to split the deaf program into 2 districts instead. One district was established south and the other north.

Naww, ain't goin' which my class reunion is this month of June, so I ain't goin' cuz them teachers are 2 faced when I went to visit one day, they ain't the same I used to know before, they completely changed after you graduated, they don't care about anybody, but makin' sum money all they care for, so I ain't goin' no reunion. I didn't go to my high school reunion few years ago. From what I heard only 10 people turned up there. *this was mainstream high school reunion*.

Teachers don't really show up at high school reunions. Those reunions are usually for the graduating class of that year.

Yeah, none of the teachers showed up at the reunion I went. Most of them were my classmates. About 20+ showed up out of 46 who graduated in my class.

Nope! I missed a lot of reunions! So my friends begged me to go in 2012..we'll see how things go first and depend where they are located at. They tend find expensive hotel and host it. GRR! I don't like it. They should use their common sense and find reason price than spend so much money at expensive hotel or whatever. It it is located at my school, I don't mind then! I felt bad not going last summer but I had to stay home with my dog and her newborn puppies (that time they were about a month old). Oh well!
