I have SSI, and Blind Service VR. I will work on a new VR later. What I gonna do?

Next Thursday, I go appointment with Debbi's help me pell grant or more. I don't know. She know about Gallaudet University.

My friend Ed's told me wait till I will know about if I need scholarship. I will find out.

you can register for undergraduates if you want to

but if you have scholarships they you can going colleges anywhere like gallaudet or whatevers depends your choices.

It's really not hard to do it when you getting accepted.

I have fair english skill, some are poor but depends on topic that what would discuss about it, you would be fine to do essay and just think about school or workplace, even other thing if you can think about it.

For transcript, you need go to your local high school and ask someone to make transcript, must be notarized, sealed and mailed with your graduation date.

Have you take ACT or SAT? If no then you need take it, just call ACT and SAT to make appointment and give a info about location and instruction, it wouldn't confirm with full processing of application until you send an test score via fax or mail.

You need have 2 recommendation, just click the pdf of recommendation form (2 papers) then print it and pick 2 of your favorite teacher hen would fill out then mail or fax it, plus need ask them to write on paper and explain about you.

When you got accepted then you will be asked to take compass, that's computerized test and not hard as ACT or SAT does, just measure of your skill and find right classes (english and math) for you.

I had been done with that and I got accepted in last July 2007.

If you don't have money for college then don't worry, there's VR support, college loan, grant and scholarship, if you have VR then need discuss with them about your college and future plans.

Sound interesting. I don't have ACT and SAT. But I ask University can put me online test or send mail to my college. I will have to take test. Oh I don't worry about how my measure will be. I don't care. I love Math! I am happy to help you. When I will see you next Fall. I believe that University will accept for me. I believe.

I came in at Gallaudet in the late 1980s and graduated later. I never had to take the SAT. It was not required. Read a lot of books. Read one book daily. Keep reading. Gallaudet is now changing academic some a few of the Deaf radical people wants all books to be in ASL. The hearing workplace is all written English. duh.

My advise at this time is to WAIT! We do not know the outcome of university accreditation renewal which is due this month, there are high chance that Gally may lose accrediation. If true business lose accreditation then there won't be any grants or scholarship available afterwards, and Fed may suspend subsidies to Gally, meaning tuition cost will shot up.

So, again I hate to warn this.

The reason behind is poor academic standards at Gally, hope they did make improvement since they got warning few years ago about next renewal of accrediation.

Yea DHB is right, so I suggest yall wait till Gallaudet are ok with accreditation... The due should be up soon cuz MSCHE said deadline is Nov 2007 from last year

What is MSCHE mean? I heard on President announce us about MSCHE. I never heard.

I think it help to get improve for education. I don't know. All teacher have plan to set up the class the MSCHE. I never heard before.

Do not worry about how your English was low, Reading is low and Math is low. Gallaudet University give you some good special for you to help you easier and make you improve to get better. Gallaudet didn't mean that you will not go to Gallaudet no.

That what I feel Gallaudet understand who deaf and more people not good and not well for class. Teacher, student and tutor help me learn about English. I love math. I am happy to help you.

Gallaudet want to know what your test. And they will give you a better a measure and what you need to take class. There will be able to be Under Graduation.

So not to worry about test. All you can to do who best skill Math, English and reading. Just go keep study.

It's called Middle States Commission on Higher Education.

For special classes, you are referred about remedial class, yup, that right but some of VR in state wouldn't paid it.

Pacman is correct. VR does not pay for remedial courses because they are non credited or not counted.

When any college or university loses accreditation, it means that their quality of education does not meet the minimum standard required by most grants and scholarships, even federal assistance too. No accrediation equals non-qualified, so if Gally fails to renew accrediation, that means Gallaudet is not within requirement by standard therefore no grants no support no nothing. And of course tuition WILL go up because more than 3/4 of tuition already paid for by Federal board of Education.

Even worse, often other college if you plan to transfer to will not accept non-accrediation school credit! What that means is that you may not be able to transfer anything at all. Scary? Yeah!

That is why most universities and colleges can NOT afford lose Accrediation!

I have my Pell Grant. Why are you worry about it. I have no idea how Gallaudet feel. Think what you have an idea for help how to solve it?

Why don't we donation Gallaudet University. Like Foundation (donate). You don't have to pay 1,000.00 no. Just whatever you can pay.

Just help for Gallaudet University deaf who want to go class. I know many deaf have no money. Pell Grant, or loan can offer you.

First, you have to ask question about Gallaudet financial aid.
Second, you have to tell how your solve your money budget what you can do loan and pay and your time payment.
Finaly, you ready to go. Then you can get a job if you can more money.
