Unhappy Failure!!!! :(

I want to tell that I am failing the english 101 Summer courses, so I must be taken english composition 1 this September because they are dropping it and take that english 101 class again! So I start feeling to frustrating about it.

Years ago that I am always worked part time nights and weekends during high school, and I did fall asleep in some classes! So my mom doesn't care and didn't tell me to quit! I am believed that she was very disappointed that I am deaf and want me talking well which she was most teaching me speech!! (((( also Always make up homework every mornings!)))

I did get an accept Gallaude college but My mom said she cannot support me But still no excuse? So I said okay and return to be worked full time...

Reminder... I am 38 years old now and finally first and part time student at college so does that I am too old for a student of college.? Ugh

So I won't let to happen to my daughters or children, and I am continuing teaching my daughter to learning spell and words!

Sorry to vent

I understand that you failed English 101. I went thru the same thing but took it again and pass!! Dont give up! Get a tutor to help you to improve. That what I did, it worked.. Good luck with it. Don't feel down, think positive!

Hey you aren't old go back to school. I am planning go back to school in Spring 08 at age 40. Age isnt matter!! It's never too late for all of us go back to school. Just be yourself sweetie!! I am sure your daughter are happy to learn from you too. Like I said Think positive.

I think you are to be admired for going back to college at the age of 38. It is never too late. And I would suggest the same thing that the others have suggested. Never give up. Student support at the school you are attending should be able toofer you some free tutoring, and if you request it written into your accommodations, they will find you a tutor that is used to working with deaf students and language difficulties.

I know it is frustrating, but I also believe that you will be able to do this!

Thank you everyone ... My friends and family felt that summer course is hard for me to concentration study while my daughters around!

Summer course is CRUSH classes ! I avoid to take some classes during the summer. I took English 90, 101 and 102, I struggled with my grammar structure. Went to see a tutor and writing lab twice a week.

English is most difficult language in this world !

Summer class always short. It made me hurry and stress out! Better during school year that will give you alot of times to practice. Its the best. Always avoid english or reading classes during summer time.

I'm sorry to hear this but I agree with what others have posted, summer courses are HARD! Hard on both teachers and students. Regular semester classes give you more time to study, to get tutoring, etc. Good for you for sticking with it! I wish you all the best.
