Hi,
I'm a hearing, SFSU student majoring in Linguistics and Special Ed (undergrad). I recently took my 1st ASL class, started volunteering in a public school's D/HH classroom, and I am seriously interested in getting a Level 1 credential (post BA) in D/HH (Education Specialist, K-12). I am staying in the Bay Area for a few years post BA, and am wondering if anyone knows of a credential or joint credential/MA program concentrating specifically in D/HH (besides the one at SFSU). I am somewhat familiar with CSUN's program (grew up in LA), and outside CA is not an option for me. Anyone have advice/ info? Also, what did you like/ not like about hearing teachers, as a D/HH student, that you may have had in the past? Thanks for any help/ suggestions : )
