Plane crashes into suburban Buffalo home; 50 killed

I heard the news this morning in my car while on the way to work :(

My heart goes out to the families who have lost a member of their family...

it's eerie... 9/11 widow in that plane....
 
I read about it earlier this morning before I headed to work.

It's sad, really. :(

I wonder what really caused the plane to crash? (I know it's being under investigation as we speak)

that's going to take a day or so for them to tell us their preliminary finding.... :( I'm guessing this is an unfortunate case of icing. the plane took off from Newark Airport and that's 20 min from me. It is bitter cold today.
 
Yes it's a tragedy, and I hope they find out what went wrong.

Prayers are with those victims and their families. :(

Very awkard for the 9/11th widow killed in that crash...it's weird thou last month around 155 people were saved from the plane that crashed into the river in NJ. Now this one...no one survived. It kind of makes me feel abit more scared of going on another airplane. :/ I've flew to Washington and Michigan before...planning to fly to Michigan again this year.

...Maybe I'll take the train instead who knows.

They mentioned that the pilots made remarks about the ice build up on the plane. That could be a problem with stabilize and keeping plane under control. We'll have to wait and see what NTSB finds the cause of the crash.

Nothing is safe wherever we go, that's a risk we take everyday - car, trains, cruise, and planes. Anything can go wrong fast.
 
Autopilot WTF??

Definetly NOT a good idea using that in icy cold weathers...that was a real stupid move.
 
let's not get ahead of ourselves.

He said it was not yet clear exactly when the pilot on Flight 3407 turned on the plane's advanced deicing system.

Sounds like pilot error, but still sad everyone got killed. :(
