This retired general and I are of the same wavelength. His words carry far more weight than those of a cowardly, lying deserter like Bush.

You have GOT to be kidding.
In this age when executives get fired for airing criticism of the administration, you think he is immune? They could "misplace" some paperwork to suspend his retirement benefits, or they could harrass him, or possibly his family members. Don't tell me you believe we live in a Pollyanna world. And besides, it does not matter if he is a general or not. There is that unmistakeable ring of truth to the words. |

General George S. Patton.."A good plan violently executed now is better than a perfect plan executed next week."" I don't measure a man's success by how high he climbs but how high he bounces when he hits bottom."" Watch what people are cynical about, and one can often discover what they lack."" We herd sheep, we drive cattle, we lead people. Lead me, follow me, or get out of my way."
.. yeah. I'll pull up a bunch of his correspondence and do a remix. I bet I can come up with a really good case for the invasion of Iraq. Heck, he wanted to go on North and take Russia but he was stopped. I remember some years back a mysterous "general" who was an expert on munitions prodding radical militia groups with oddball theories of everything from airplane crashes to the Murrah building. Oh, and the gulags being prepared in the U.S. for political prisoners, and the tacmars on the backs of roadsigns to guide russian soldiers herding prisoners to the camps. Verify what you read is all I can say. |

And how do you do that, pray tell? Who does the "verification?"
You hold what you are convinced is a baseball in your hand, and the three other people in the room insist it is a basketball. Now, you are just a swimming pool installer while the three others work for Homeland Security. Who is right? Could it be that THEY are right, ironically enough, because of an urgent reason to implement a plan to force you to play along with them until a secret date in the future when all reasons for doing so will be revealed, and everyone would have the privilege of shouting aloud Patton quotes from gargoyles on buildings? What ARE you smoking, anyway? |

A verifiable source for a news story is either there or it is not. If it is not, I put the golf ball in my pocket and walk away. Unless they prove to me they are really "Fatherland Security", AND know what they are talking about, then they just might be beowolves in sheeps clothing.

You are pretty uninformed for a "journalist'; or could it be that yes, you are aware of reprisals against those in the media for making unfavorable reports about the administration, but those in the military are untouchable? Then you are utterly naive. I truly hope you are happy in your Pollyanna world. |

Compare that with the official story that the 757 blew a huge hole into the Pentagon, the whole wall collapsed on the tv news. What would you believe? Your government or your lying eyes? And yes, I do have those videos. The strange thing is, when the average person sees them, their eyes glaze over and they stammer, "But, but...that was not what we were TOLD!" Pretty sad. I have a video of a man shaking the hand of a President he never met. Does that mean he met him if you see the video with your own eyes? Did you indeed see the Pentagon immediately after the crash with your own eyes? Or did you see a multiple generation video tape someone was hawking? People using aliases are not very credible sources. Even for ardent conspiricy theorists.

I understand your concerns about videotapes being altered or photoshopped.
Not in this case. You CANNOT photoshop so many videotapes from so many sources and so many angles and come up with the same exact image. Dang, denial is a powerful thing I guess. |

There you go again.
What DIFFERENCE does it make where the video comes from? It is consistent with all others. So what if a video was filmed by, say, the Grand Dragon of the KKK? You are merely looking for a way to feed your own sense of denial if you are joining the present movement to attack the provider of the proof, not the proof itself. That site was just one of many I got. Still sad. |

I have not heard of any retired officers being "punished" for speaking out, and you have not shown me any reason to believe other wise. I see that I am beginning to repeat myself, so I guess this dance has come to an end. |

I have never hinted that Bush walks on water. President Bush is an imperfect man, and imperfect President. I am not a Republican, but I voted for George W. in both elections. Bush has disappointed me several times. You say that "we" know what I stand for. Is that the imperial "we", or is there really a group that gets together to discuss what Reba stands for? Ha, ha, fortunately I am not that paranoid, and I know that I am not worthy of discussion, so I know you are blowing smoke. 'Nite-nite.

I tracked the General. He weaves and bobbles through bloggerland, dodges and pops through some anti-Zionist sites and lands here:
uruknet.info اوروكنت.إنفو informazione dall'iraq occupato information from occupied iraq أخبار من العراق المحتلة Yup. An anti-American Iraqi website. Nice going ace.

So it has to be from only ONE source to be credible? It has to remain static in the internet to be "credible?" It has to be from FOXNEWS????
The internet is practically a living entity, and you seem offended some sites are , gasp, "un-American." It is the nature of the internet that a tidbit travels around the world literally, and eeeeek, God help us all if an Arab sees it and agrees with it! Let me tell you something, buddy...if, say, the Russians attacked us without provocation and started bombing our neighborhoods indiscriminately, and tell us that they are doing that to "liberate" us, we WILL be anti-Russian. That is EXACTLY how we appear to the Iraq people. Last edited by Beowulf; 03-05-2005 at 12:18 AM. |

Iraqi propaganda? It came from a blog within the USA.
It is funny you throw out the word "propaganda" when you demonstrate your unwillingness to believe in your own common sense, which seems to have been suspended for the moment. Whistle all you want, Codger, that must be good shit you smoked. And yeah, let's hear what your buddy Patton has to say about this. And just to piss you off, I will show you a couple pics to confuse you. |
