Schwarzenegger Has 'No Regrets' About Using Steroids

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (Feb. 26) - Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, who has acknowledged using steroids during his years as a champion body builder, said he doesn't regret using the performance-enhancing drugs.

In an interview to be broadcast Sunday, Schwarzenegger told ABC's George Stephanopoulos, "I have no regrets about it, because at that time, it was something new that came on the market, and we went to the doctor and did it under doctors' supervision."

Schwarzenegger has acknowledged taking steroids, but pointed out that they were legal at the time.

"We were experimenting with it. It was a new thing. So you can't roll the clock back and say, 'Now I would change my mind on this,"' he said, according to an excerpt posted on abcnews.com.

The former seven-time Mr. Olympia said he would not encourage drug use because it sent the wrong message to children. But he said he had no problem with athletes taking nutritional supplements and other legal substances to improve their

Sorry no link at this time because I found it on AOL News it would not work on some people here who doesn't have AOL...

Wow, I had no idea he was using steroids...I am wondering why they sold steroids on the market?

P.S. Even tho he is a Handsome Republican,
I would NOT vote for him as a US President anyway....
but I would hire him as a CEO or something like that...

He can't run for President, anyway. He's not a born citizen of the United States. He emigrated from Austria back in the 70s or 80s.

I'd have to hear his campaign pledges, but I'd probably vote for him.

Maybe.

Well what actions are california senate are gonna take? Why not suspend aronld for 2 weeks from governors office? God dam,,, Jamal Lewis had to serve a 2 game suspendsion from the NFL. So i think its only fair for aronld swartzenagger to be suspended from governors office for 2 weeks.

But, there are a few men who are pushing to have that law fixed.

When that does happen and he does become president, then Demolition Man has come true!

Birthday: July 30, 1947
Birth Place: Thal, Styria, Austria
Birth Name: Arnold Alois Schwarzenegger

Also credited as:
Arnold Strong

Became a U.S. Citizen in 1983.

In April 1997 he underwent heart surgery correct a congenital heart valve condition.

Noted fan of cigar smoking.

Underwent a genioplasty - a procedure in which his jaw has been moved back so that it no longer juts out.

Was the first private citizen in the U.S. to own a Humvee

He is billed as being 6'2" tall but is actually only 5'10". Strategic camera angles and shorter co-stars account for his larger-than-life image in films.

A very interesting man indeed. I have to wonder if the steroids had some causitive effect on his heart condition. That said, they were perfectly legal back then and no, he should not be punished for the use now. Also, I do not think it is wise to allow a change in the law as to who can be president.

It amazes me that people today have no clue or act suprised when they hear he did 'roids.Nobody gets that big without those kind of drugs.Steroids were huge back in the 70's and so on and still are today.Drugs help push arnie to his level where he is today.

Yeah I've heard other news related to that kind of discussion about Arnie becoming the president of the United States in the future...but would he be able to beat Hilary Clinton in the 2008 race, if possible? lol

He proably need to build an army of terminators to "terminate" Clinton in order to change the past that Clinton has NEVER became President and that Arnie was back in 1993...lol!!!
